Im sure an explanation the sith trooper armor makes them slower, maybe and the advanced body glove encased in (forgot name armor) is less weighted and more stronger. however one thing is clear fear is an ally to the sith and the sith troopers are manifested by that philosiphy,(spelled wrong) the creators really did get some helpuful tips from lucas
dark jedi 8
When you are more skilled later in the game it will be really fun killing these guys to take their armor.

YAAA Finally someone who notices it too. For example when episode 1 came out (the reason why i started to like sw alot) i thought it was episode 1 after the old trilogy because of the pod racers, dual sabers, Queen Amedelah's private ship (dont know how to spell it), and other things....Always like that for some reason! Frosty_V2.1
Ok, I read the description on the main page(doh, well it was late at night when I was checking the pic ) New Screenshots Launch the screenshot viewer to see: Jedi acrobatics in an engagement with war droids and sith troopers Jolee and Bastila battling kath hounds on Dantooine ... Actually I thought the droids(in white) were the Sith Troopers before, but looking at the hip and legs it can't be their armour and it is different to the armour in the Char profile - Ya the tech does look more advanced in the prequel which annoyed me a bit at the time, but then again it is only 1 generation span between the 2 trilogies..I guess bulky and dirty is the 'new' fashion of the galaxy
dark jedi 8
Yeah, it was kind of hard to get used to that at first, I mean the new prequals looked more advanced than the older ones.
Thrift
I do understand what you guys are saying, but you have to remember, technology does not advance in constant progressive development. It is in permanent fluctuation. If you were to graph out technological advances on earth, the graph would be more a mountain range that a steadily ascending slope. Look at Ancient Egypt – Arguably their greatest architectural achievements (the Pyramids) primarily took place in the III Dynasty of the Old Kingdom (from memory – c.2700-2616BC). While later dynasties failed to achieve all but a shadow of their former greatness (with some pretty significant exclusions I’ll admit – Abu Simbel springs to mind as a seriously advanced bit of construction work – The Ancient Egyptians also built many more Pyramids after the III Dynasty, but none so large and always from inferior materials). If you include the Ptolemaic Dynasties (which Egyptologists do), Ancient Egypt survived as a powerful kingdom right up until the death of Cleopatra in 30BC when Egypt became a Roman Colony – Over 2500 years after the construction of the Great Pyramids of the III Dynasty. As one of the game designers pointed out (I forget who now, Casey Hudson I think – It was when I asked about why the architecture on Tatooine did not change after 4000 years) technology has reached a point where it is primarily at an equilibrium, where for every advance that is made something is forgotten. Apparently the Star Wars galaxy has been opened to space travel for 25,000 years. So, if you take all this into account, it is not just likely, but indeed a certainty, that while some aspects of technology are superior 4000 years later, some would also be inferior. So anyway to step away from the history lesson, while it is likely that the Sith Troopers armour etc. is inferior, it is also just as likely that it is superior, as armour quality, just like all other technology, would be in constant fluctuation. That guy with the blaster on the left is Carth so it could be the PC that's disguised. Ah ha! i thought a sith tropper has silver armour They used to. I think when they advanced the graphics they added that cool gold reflection. Kind of like they did for the assassin droid.
GothicSith
The time during the Empire was indeed an opressive one. As I'm sure there were a lot of embargoes, this would no doubt "degrade" the trade and advancement of technology. This is why the rebel fleet and armor looks so "dirty" while the Empire was so shiny and squeeky clean. Personally I like the way Lucas paid attention to this minute and important detail to the prequal trilogy.

I only hope it's true.....that would just add one more aspect of realism.
