I've actually visited a few Nintendo-related web pages regarding this issue, and the sheer hatred towards Nintendo is unbelievable amongst those with 50hz TVs (AND almost all of them "have the original Zelda"). I can understand the "pissed off" factor, and even murdering a few Nintendo employees is justifiable I guess, but the extent to which this act is being bad-mouthed.

IT'S A FREE BONUS THING. They're not making any profit on it for a start, and to convert it to run in at a frankly inferior 50hz would waste time and money, and possibly delay the main game that these people paid for. Also, you should get a new TV, or at least visit the houses of relatives and convince them that their 60hz TV is hideously outdated and may explode at any second.

It may have been in Nintendos best interests to just "not give away the game", and Im sure in future us PAL-guys will be showered with similar freebies. ¬

Master Quest isn't Ura Zelda anyway, so I'm told. It's just like the normal game, only there are more enemies, who are tougher, and the items in the dungeons are swapped around a bit. Not really that exciting.

Yeah, URA-Zelda was originally much more different. They obviously stopped doing it part way through and just integrated what they had done into Ocarina of Time.

The main fact is, The Wind Waker is more than good enough for anyone. Since yesterday my opinion of it has changed - no longer greatest console game of the millenium, it is now greatest console game EVER. Its just the sheer scope of the game. Earlier today, I was just sailing between some islands, when I found a little tiny island. There was a swimming pool, waterfall, beach, a cabana and some bloke staring out into sea. I crawled under the cabana and found some rupees, spoke to the man and then went on my merry way. It made my day, and that might sound sad, but there seems to be no purpose to this island other than for adding a sense of the game being a real world (ok, thats not true, but I don't yet know how important the task is and I don't wanna ruin it for you by talking about it here now.) The graphics are something else. After 5 minutes you will be wondering why every single game in history wasn't made in this style. The best thing is the weather - not so exciting on land, but out at sea its incredible. I've had it all - thunderstorms, lightening, rain, fog, shining sun - and you know the weather by the sound effects as much as the graphics. Its immense.

And I haven't even mentioned the music yet... suffice to say, the forbidden forest music is the most suitable and atmospheric piece of music ever to grace a video-game. Its not the best piece of music ever, not by a long shot - Grim Fandango has better music, for one - but this music suits the scene so perfectly its untrue.

And you are worried about your bonus disc - trust me, its a free gift thats worth having, but the real bonus here is the hidden depth of this marvellous game.

(So, I think that proves that Gamecube has won the console debate. Also, GTA4 is cube bound, when it's made - trust me, I got that information from a reputable source.)

Look, whenever the fact you're lumbered with a higher-resolution, lower-frequency TV standard than those stupid Americans starts to get you down, or you feel the anger at the injustice of PAL release dates welling up inside you, just think of all those same smug NTSC game-playing Americans clamouring (clamouring, I tell you!) for the LucasArts Entertainment Pack! Or watch Fox News for more than three minutes (I dare you!), or find a picture of George W Bush and make some disparaging remarks in its general direction! Feel your new-found calmness wash over you, and let your gratitude overwhelm your anger until you emerge, triumphant, on the other side of whatever, metaphorically speaking, you have just been passing through!

You see, my son, here on the other side of whatever it was I was talking about, you have found Perspective.

It could be so much worse.

Screw that. Metal Gear Solid was a great game, but I already played it to death on the Play Station. The fact that Silicon Knights are being wasted on this will probably mean further delays to Too Human. Then, once this full-price port of a five-year old game fails to sell as well as a new game would have, Konami will use that as an excuse to say the GameCube isn't a viable market for their games.

I don't know why they don't just bring MGS3 to the Cube.
