MJ
Sooooo... now that it's done... what do you think? Likes? Dislikes? One character is probably going to be dropped in the sequal, which I'm hoping to record at the end of next week. Next week on Nightlight is something people will be interested in hearing, and would probably really look forward to if I told them what it was. LiMP RABBiT
thanks for uploading it.... finally. No really, thanks. Like the unexpected plot twist. Very, um, unexpected. I was wondering how youd end it, now i know.
Metallus
It was worth the wait, and I liked how you had the Dud Star suffering a fate that is common with restaurant franchises. Somehow a space battle didn't seem appropriate for this series . Great job.
Incredible_d
You've got hilarious stuff. Lost cause was great. It's biggest difference from Tierra de los Muertos was that wereas Tierra de los Muertos had more witty, subtle humor (I take this amazing peice of 24th century technology known as a STICK!), Lost Cause had more absurd, Monty Python-ish humor (Exterminate! Exterminate!). I'd say I liked both plays the same, but I liked the humor in Lost Cause better and the premise in Tierra better. Know what'd be really funny? A Lord of the Rings parody. Number Two would be the ultimate guy to find a ring of power: the most unlikely person imaginable (What's thees? Hallo? Thees ees Number Two, and, man, I found thees reeng here, and... ah baybe! I'm inveesible!) And tell that Stanley guy that he's got a hilarious voice for Number Two. Keep the nightlight on up there. I'm supporting you guys. MJ
Thanks, D. Support me by auditioning. I'll agree with you though - Lost Cause went for humour, Tierra went for storyline. That was always my intention. And to be truthful, Lost Cause 2 is even funnier, which is why I'm fighting hard to get it recorded at the moment. Plus I'm trying to redesign the website so that it's at least partway decent. Not having much luck in that because... well... I totally suck at website design
Shadriss
Congrats on Lost Cause! Although it ended very.... oddly... it was WELL worth the wait. Repossessed... who'd have guesed THAT one... And now, I see a SECOND Lost Cause coming? Dare I ask which movie THIS one is going to walk all over? Keep it coming... PLEASE! I do have one question though - you mentioned to someone else about supporting you by auditioning or some such... how would THAT work when the voice actor is who knows how far away? Just curious... (and considering...)
MJ
People who get the parts can submit their lines with computer microphones. The quality can usually be quite good. Check out the main page of the site for more info. Lost Cause 2 is written. I hope to record it soon.
Shadriss
Figured it had to be something like that. One suggestion for the next series - use a higher recording volume. Maybe it was just me, but most of the episodes (and especially the last one) were real quiet... had to REALLY pump up the volume to hear them. Which really got my head thumping when I switched to a game after listening to it... I'd really like to help on this next one... If you have MSN Messenger, look me up at shadriss@hotmail.com. We'll do lunch... (so to speak) Once again, GREAT job on LC1, and very much looking forward to LC2.
MJ
Yep, sure. If anyone wants to talk to me on messenger, I'm at galactichand@hotmail.com Now that I think of it, my favourite part of Lost Cause part 10 was Number 2 solving the flaw in the Dud Star's design. You know, how Luke aimed the torpedo using the force, gets off a lucky shot, and there goes Vader's plans... Entire problem solved with a grate. Incredible_d
What exactly did Darth Vapour mean by "I am brother to the puma"? Top 10 Funniest quotes from Lost Cause (not really in order) 1: He looks like Frank Sinatra... with a carpet? - Number Two 2: Exterminate! -Davros 3: I can never get them white enough! - Number Two 4: I am in complete control. I am brother to the puma. -Darth Vapour 5: Wraaah wraaah wraaah, wra wrah wrah wrah! -Wookie Song 6: Gasp!- I know- gasp - you go! - Gasp!- No, don't do it now, cause it's too late! -Darth Vapour and Number Two 7: WHO THE HELL TOOK THE YELLOW PAGES! - Number Two 8: They're cute, aren't they? - Number Two? 9: Noooooo-baby, the Dalek! Blame him! -Number Two 10: Do they feel lucky punk? - Number Two
Shadriss
Isn't it JUST odd that MOST of those quotes all come from Number Two (or should that be Numerically Second?) Man, I hope he survived Vapour's wrath to appear in the next Lost Cause...
Incredible_d
For some reason, Number Two seems to always have the funniest lines. This is probably because he has been around since the political satire days and Nightlight knows him best. Or maybe the guy who does Number Two's voice is very funny on his own and does a lot of funny improvisation. And once again, I ask, what exactly is the significance of "Brother to the Puma?" Shadriss
True, true. I had to go listen to all of them again to find some of those lines (I couldn't understand what he was screaming on the Yellow Book line before! Thanks!) Heck, I've started to bombard friends with this series... If only the Repo man was a little louder.... I have to turn the speakers way up to hear him... Oh well. MJ
Sorry, guys. I've been coming to the forums every now and then, and for some reason the main forum page isn't showing that the threads have been updated (on my computer, at least). To start with: Number Two is a great character to interact with anyone, because he can get away with anything. So yes, as far as the script goes, he's in Lost Cause 2. A few of those lines (the telephone book, the wookiee being like Frank Sinatra) was never in the script to begin with. It's hard to shut Number Two up once he gets started. Once (if) Lost Cause 2 gets recorded, it will be time to go back through Lost Cause 1 and fix up all the recording levels, so that they're louder and more even across the board. A digitally remastered special edition, so to speak . I've already done it with Tierra de los Muertos, and the end result was rather good. The brother to the puma? That wasn't scripted either. And there was nothing really meant to be in it... it's just Darth Vapour psyching himself up for the oncoming battle.
LiMP RABBiT
I couldnt think of any where better to post this message so here we go. Im slightly concerned with the title to the new Tierra title because Valora DeCasador says at the end of Tierra 1 that the stargate is the Treasure of the Big Kahuna. Yet how can there be a search for something theyve already. And will Lost Cause be available on CD?
MJ
Hello there, Rabbit. To answer your questions: 1. There's a chance (always a chance) that La Busqueda de Big Kahuna is never made. 2. Yes, you are correct, DeCazador claimed that the stargate on Isla Calavera is the Treasure of the Big Kahuna. He states in the first part of Busqueda that he was wrong, and that he was reading the map upside down. 3. The treasure is actually an item that is in the possession of the pygmy headhunters. But they've now left Isla Calavera thanks to a recent volcano erruption 4. No, I'm not allowed to offer Lost Cause on CD. I wish I could, but I can't. Same reasons as Tierra.
