Pedantic
Anyone doing fantasy baseball? I was thinking that perhaps if there were enough takers, we could start our own Swamp League. I'm in two leagues as it stands at the moment. Looks to be fun.

BigTeddyPaul
Basically: You get a bunch of people together and together you draft players from all over the league. You can do live drafts or pre-made drafts (yahoo that is). The difference between the two is live drafts you all get online at a certain time and draft your people together and not let the computer do it. If you happen to miss the live draft it uses your ranking system to choose who to pick. Pre-ranked drafts are where before the draft date you make a list of who you want to draft in which order. Then, depending on your draft spot, you pick your player. EX: You rank the players as so: Bonds #1, Jeter #2, Sosa #3. You choose third overall according to randomness so the worst you can do it Sosa. Person number one chooses first and takes Bonds. Now you are left with either Jeter or Sosa. Person number two now chooses Griffey JR. Now you choose Jeter instead of Sosa because he is available ahead of Sosa with the 3rd pick overall. If this is live you can pick whoever mind you. Once you choose all your pitchers and catchers you place them in your startig rotation. If you only have 9 spots and 12 people playing you have to choose whos stats will not be added to your total. The computer keeps track of all stats so it isn't a problem. Depending on the league you either face off against one opponent each week or against the entire league for the whole season. I find the head to head much more entertaining. You can trade players, pick players up, drop players, choose who plays, etc. I have never tried baseball since there are 162 games!!!! but I have tried every other major sport and it is fun. Any other questions? BigTeddyPaul

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like many people are interested in doing it, so I'll probably just stick with my two teams.
BigTeddyPaul
well I know the least about baseball compared to any other sport. How many teams are there? IF I join will we try to do a thing where we get all the 4 major sports in? I will join if you give me the ID and password. I don't know how good I will be because I don't really like baseball but I like beating people. BigTeddyPaul
