Rebel_Spy
export the mesh on gmax into a .md3 file, and then import that file using 3dsmax, you must get the md3 importer script before!. Some time I read a tutorial about it, if I can find it I will post on this thread.

Manquesa
you need to get gmax tempest, it's the quake 3 game pack for gmax. That will allow you to export to .md3. You can get that from discreets website, same place you get gmax from.
skater_craigd
yeah thanks for that reply helps quite alot, im at work at the moment so ill have to download it wen i get home and ill try then but thanks for the help... im guessing thats a plugin then? neway ill have a look for it now on discreet.com and see what it is cheers and thanks for the help ill post again if it works, ciao for now, craig =Sevled's Lair=
Rebel_Spy
Well I'd downloaded the 1.2 version, and the md3 exporter was right there, I don't recall downloading the tempest plugins, maybe I did, but the memories are kinda fuzzy about that, lol. Anyway, get the tempest package, and you are ready to start modeling. Remember, you must be online in order to finish the gmax registration, yeah, gmax is free, but you must registrate on the discreet site and then you can use the software.
