lukeskywalker1
ok, ive fixed the problem with the FPS, now heres another problem: http://www.angelfire.com/games5/lukeskywalker215/shot0401.jpg based on that pic, you can tell there is a lot of Z-fighting (thats what it was called right, when 2 textures keep switching... or something) So is there an easy way to get rid of it, or a better way to make rocks for my walls? It looks boring just having plain rock walls that are straight, so i thought id add a lot of rocks to make it look better, but its not done, i just compiled to see how it looked in game. -lukeskywalker1
Business_Eskimo
There isn't an easy way to get rid of the Z-Fighting in your case, but, if you are using Gtk Radiant you may want to try Gensurf. It's in the Plugins menu at the top of the screen.
lukeskywalker1
I have GTK, but its so slow, depending on the map i use. This one, is so big, it takes like 10 mins to load, then when ever i hit the up arrow, it takes like 2 mins to go forward, when i clcik the menu, it takes like 2 mins to load, its so annoying.... i need more RAM. JK2 Radiant is ok though.
Shotokan
Hehe I get that slow thing too. It is so irritating waiting minutes just to go forward, LoL.
lukeskywalker1
Yeah i know, but ive noticed if you zoom in all the way on the 2d display, it speeds up soem, but it doesnt make too much of a difference in GTK, so i stick with JK2 Radiant. lol. in small map, maybe 2-3 rooms its ok, but this one has a huge open area... really huge...so its slow. JK2 radiant is starting to get slow, like 5-6 seconds to go forward, because the map is getting so big. Id like to add a whole lot more, but doesnt look like ill be able to. -lukeskywalker1
wedge2211
Try cubic clipping the 3D veiw.
rgoer
By the way, cubic clipping is the next-to-last entry in the "view" menu (in GtkRadiant, that is).
