Hannibal
I read this on theForce.net: "Hyperspace is really a way to talk to our most loyal fans, the fans who love Star Wars the most. It's a way of saying, "There's a lot of content you've been asking us for, and here it is.' On the other hand, we didn't want to bog down the casual fan with stuff that wouldn't be interesting to them. It's the best way to keep everybody happy, and it amounts to literally a nickel a day." What a bunch of crap. I'm a loyal SW fan(very loyal) and there is no way in hell I'm going to pay for information that they used to release for free. They don't want to bog down the casual fan with exclusive information? Sure. The could have made it only accessible to those who registered on their site. That nickel will be burning a whole in my pocket everyday. I don't care how little it costs
Taos
Well said bud, I couldn't agree more. What a joke this hyperspace thing is.

Most of the stuff will either be put up on the net or is stuff that should've be on the AoTC dvd. (from what I hear) What a petty move. All it does is make me not want to go to the site. I guess I'll be a force.net'er now.

They didn't use to provide the continuous webcam, they didn't use to provide avatars on the official forums and they didn't provide the little diary thingie, either. That nickel will be burning a whole in my pocket everyday. I don't care how little it costs Unfortunately, here I agree with you. I'm not going to pay for it, though I have got some online friends who have. I just don't care enough about it to pay that much (Not that I've got a huge income in the first place) and I want to remain fairly spoiler-free on Ep. III. And yes, they should have put the Droid Control Ship scene on the AOTC DVD, but, they didn't, and no amount of whining on our part is going to change that, methinks. Jedi Apprentive, I really think you're better than TF.N...

What I meant was that they didn't used to charge for information that they released. There is an enormous amount of information on SW.com(and there always has been) and it's always been free. If anyone doesn't need money it's the SW license. So to charge for info is just ridiculous. Web cam( )? Give me a break. :looks over at his avatar:

The Hyperspace stuff is extras, but all that stuff that was free still is. If anyone doesn't need money it's the SW license. So to charge for info is just ridiculous. Web cam( )? Give me a break. Personally, I couldn't agree with you more. It's ridiculous how much money they've got already. But the money is probably just enough more than neccessary to cover their bandwith costs. ($ .6 x god-knows-how-many-fanboys) is probably about right. I think it's ridiculous, but I also think some of the arguments against it are ridiculous, as well. Jedi Apprentice
It's not like the web cam will show more then just the coffee and donut room. Jedi Apprentive, I really think you're better than TF.N... I was just blowing smoke. I don't visit it except for when I need images or a good chuckle. Lord Glorfindel
Like GL needs more money, he is 113th on the Forbes 500 with 3 BILLION DOLLARS!!!! How much more money does a man need. I am very loyal star wars fan, I have loved star wars since I was able to understand anything. I will definetly not pay for anything cause they should of released all of the behind the scene stuff for AOTC on the AOTC dvd, and the behind the scenes EP III stuff is a bunch of bunk, because sure you get Diaries and cameras, like the cameras are always going to show epic EP III battle scenes, Its not its probably just going to be a way off camera that you can only see smidgen of the real set and even then you don't know what your looking at. I think not even a third of TRUE star wars fans are even going to pay for this, this is just another scheme for them to make more money
