Yufster
Actually this post is about three things that are seriously worrying me and making the world in general feel delicate and unsafe. 1 - Tony Blair is a crackhead. He's such a lickass and he's incapable of not sucking up to G. Bush. He's got his tounge right up his crack. 2 - George Bush is (or has) put a War Satellite in space. It has Global Weapon Monitoring etc.,etc.,... it's to stop missiles and the likes in their tracks. He has, however, forbidden anybody else to launch a similar piece of apparatus, and has threatened to blow up any other satellite launched... including any satellite launched by any other European Country. I'm surprised this hasn't been made a much bigger issue, but most countries refused to comment. George Bush has ordered a Seeker to be built, which will be used to destroy any other satellite at will. The big picture here is, only a few government officials know the true capabilities of that satellite. It may not only just be for the destroying of missiles in mid flight. It probably could also knock out other satellites... especially this new piece of equipment that's being launched. If any country goes to war with america, they can expect to have their entire world crashed. All their Communications Satellites, GPS, Media Satellites etc., gone. They couldn't stand a chance. This gives America such an advantage and I don't think it deserves that. The Americans have proven with events like in Korea, that they are not better or more holy than another nation. They seem to think god is on their side, which is also dangerous. America is a fast growing, extremely dangerous superpower... AND TONY BLAIR IS GEORGE BUSHES LAP DOG. 3 - Maybe most disturbing is North Korea. I saw a documentary tonight... it's like a ghost country. Crappy towns are like tins of sardines, packed tight with poor, starving people.... but then there are the huge cities with flashing lights, wide clean streets, amazing huge buildings.... completely devoid of life. Nobody is in the streets, nothing is happening. North Korea has claimed to have nuclear weapons and biological weapons and has threatened to unleash them on the western world. The people worship their 'god' and 'leader', President Whateverhisname is. It's much worse than the situation in Iraq. There are also other little niggling things that are making the world at the moment feel very unsafe... like the fact that right across the water from us is a nuclear power station that, if attacked at the right time, could destroy the entire small country of Ireland. Technology made our lives very comfortable for a small amount of time, but I have a feeling it's going to make it hell pretty soon. I'm scared
Nitro
News Flash - The Americans have had ASAT capabilities since the 80's.
Yufster
ROTFL that reminded me off Zoolander. Okay I mean, what's ASAT?

Zoom Rabbit
I hear where you're coming from, Yufster. The US is indeed scary right now, with way too much power in the hands of way too misguided people. What scares me the most is that for some reason everyone here in the US seems to have silently agreed not to discuss the fact that their president is not the brightest firefly in the jar. It's like the children's story 'The Emperor's New Clothes!' Please take comfort from this: there are people like me here who are not on the bandwagon with this whole world policeman/superpower, biggest-monkey-in-the-forest crap that passes for American foreign policy these days. In the last election, Bush barely won...and when he comes up again, it might not go as well for him politically. He has just lied to the entire world about intelligence affirming the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and then overthrew a nation on the basis of that lie. Americans (contrary to popular belief) aren't stupid, and when he fails to explain the whole 'no weapons found' thing, he'll be roasted in the polls. There is hope. North Korea...we're screwed. I think their leader is a psycho, from what I've heard, who very probably has the weapons he says he does. As someone who lives on the west coast of the US and is supposedly in range of these weapons, I can personally say that the situation is quite scary indeed. The only comfort I find here is Japan, a people dear to my heart, right offshore of Korea and packing a whole can of samurai whoop-ass. The close friendship between the US and Japan cannot be explained rationally, but make no mistake about it: either of us would defend the other to their deaths. North Korea knows this, and so does China. This particular deterrence has kept the peace in Korea for fifty years (and let's face it--North Korea has been defended by Chinese nuclear weapons for decades) and should continue to do so for some time yet. The new danger factor here isn't really North Korea's weapons, but rather their leader's mindset. On the matter of ASATs. Anyone who doesn't believe that the capability to take satellites out with ground-based missiles wasn't covertly developed years ago during the cold war, raise their hands. *(Keeps his hands down.)*
Ray Jones
..We need a way to get rid of those people like SADDAM&CO. A way that is something more cool that just to break off a war .. someone once said (i just mean the context) "If you carry a cross and step to a foe to hit him with it, then you are not longer carrying a cross. You carry a WEAPON." So this is some sort of right AND MEANT for all of them. BinLaden, Hussein, Bush, Blair and all that little gay fairies .. hey a calm down and lets rather get some cool ideas for life on mars ..! (I dont want the girls to be hidden NOR the police to control everything) NO RESPECT FOR ALL OF YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE NONE FOR US. [edit] ps. oh.. and concerning that wwIII topic.. EINSTEIN said .. he doesnt know what weapons will be used in WW III .. but he knows the ones from WW IV: Fire and Stones!
Darth Groovy
Ok, so we are all gonna die. I say we make the most of it. I vote we have us a good old fashioned clam bake, and top the evening off with a giant orgy! Hey if we are all gonna die, why use protection or use inhibition...right?! Yufster
We're not gonna die. No. Worse. We're gonna become a mutated race of ... mutants, warped by nuclear and biological weapons. You'll all be ugly. I'll be pretty, but I'll only have one eye. I will also make out with a man from the past come to live in the future, which is actually the present. Nitro
Named Marty McFly. Anyone else ever see Equilibrium? Damn good movie... The Bush administration quashed it, though, and it only released in 300 theaters. Finally saw it at Blockbuster the other day. Damn good movie. This topic kinda reminded me.
