WTE_Kimba Posted August 3, 2003 Author Share Posted August 3, 2003 CoranSec - I snuck into the data base (ssshhhh dont tell anyone) & approved you myself as the boses seem to be busy atm.... so by the time you read this you should have it.... ...and as for Icarus, well he is so good that he has had to devise a handicap system that he places himself into to give the rest of us a chance at a win. Unhandicapped I have never known him to be beated ever. Occasionally if there are enough of us or his handicap is big enough we get a victory.... Scary isnt quite the word for it - I think awe inspiring is more apt. One doesnt really understand the feeling of humility untill you have been beaten by him unhandicapped.... Lord Siraious - c'mon we want you - couldnt you spare a few hours on a Friday night kinda regularly? surely.... thats not a huge ask is it... not for the HUGE payoffs you will get.... Since Kimba is here I've gotten nostalgic and restarted playing Gb(corran did it as well I believe). Being beaten by comps on moderate is so insulting... So to your questions... CorranSec - The WTE is based on a military structure which is why it appears ridgid. Ranks & respect are given to those mainly as an acknowledgement for the time they spend helping run the association as a volunteer. We do have fun, or else there is no point to being there... teehee... our chats before the game where we kind of socialise can get very silly at times... Oh the ranks etc also help as we give out medals to players for long service, above average attendance, spectacular victories, beating records, all sorts of things depending upon the Unit itself. StarWarsPhreak - so glad you like it - allot of time has gone into its creation & on going maintainance... lukeiamyourdad - GOLDEN DAYS.... makes you sound ancient! lol - I am hoping those from here may give him a run for his money with a bit of practice.... Admiral Vostok - great - hope confirmation comes through soon. Not everyone comes EVERY Friday - so thats fine, dont worry about it. They will be glad for another playmate even if irregular... actually just checked - your confirmation email has been sent so you should have it by now. If not let me know & i will cancell so you can re do like CorranSec. 9/24 gees... thought I did better than that - there were so few I felt like I had to guess... sigh... well done Lord Siraious. *tries to take some comfort from the fact that it isnt actually the LOWEST score, even if its uncomfortably close to it teeheee* saberhagen - nope Icarus doesnt play on the Zone anymore - I believe thats how he know Skythe (who he describes as "good") already. I know your application was rejected BUT WE STILL WANT YOU!!!! 2 things.... a. The data base cant accept names with spaces in them - so you would have to apply using Admiral_Vostok b. We cant have ranks in user names because, as I was explaining to CorranSec, everyone in the association is given "ranks" - you would start off as Private Admiral_Vostok which is just plain silly - teehee:D ....so how about just "Vostok" & you work your way up? You see, the Brisbane International Film Festival is on at the moment, so being the good film student that I am I am taking in a few of the films. Whats happened to you Vostock? - your confirmation was sent but you havent replied... Windu, Siraious where are you? arent you going to come & play too????? CorranSec - still on for Friday night? hope so, last week was a real blast.... Icarus (handicapped) was teamed up with Nighthawk vs 4 of us... it took 3 hrs to wipe them out & then it was still close. At one point 3 of us attacked nighthawk together so Icarus sent troops over to help him, then Ic attacked & wipped out my base (I let him tactically as a distraction you see... very smart move on my part - won us the game teehee!!) meanwhile our 4th guy attacked icarus who was spread very thin.... it was a close game & a real nail bitter, but we got im in the end.. HOORAY for us!! yes, we gloated alot then too... SKYTHE - you there... can i talk you into playing with us? or have you got your own group as Icarus thought you might?
