txa1265 Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Another in the line of previews from the LA summer media event ... http://actionvault.ign.com/features/specials/lucas03jediacad.shtml I haven't seen anything major that we don't already know from other previews. Mike
txa1265 Posted August 5, 2003 Author Posted August 5, 2003 There's one at Jolt.co.uk - here's the link Nothing much to note in terms of new stuff ... but an interesting quote: Like the recent Star Trek game Elite Force II, Jedi Academy uses an enhanced version of the three-year-old Quake 3 engine. Unlike Elite Force II, however, Academy takes place primarily in the 3rd-Person, focusing more towards light saber combat. The enhanced engine features the usual offerings of up-to-date graphics, complete with high-res textures and high-poly models. Animations are also far more refined than in the last installation in the Dark Forces series of Star Wars games, Jedi Outcast. If the graphics match Elite Force II - which was definitely a step above Jedi Outcast - I will be thrilled. All of the screens I've seen seem to indicate that it will ... Mike
yolkboy Posted August 6, 2003 Posted August 6, 2003 Yeah, Elite Force 2 had better graphics indeed If JA matches that, I'll be happy. If it is even better... Now I just have to get a new video card
Gabrobot Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 I would like to point out to Andy867 that the preview linked to in this thread and the Q&A linked to in Swat's thread are different... Preview: http://actionvault.ign.com/features/specials/lucas03jediacad.shtml Q&A: http://actionvault.ign.com/features/interviews/jediacadint.shtml
Swat Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 Well Gabrobot, he's referring to this thread Just my luck that Andy closed down the interview which I posted first
Gabrobot Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 Hmmm...he locked your thread 2 hours before the other thread was posted, though...
Andy867 Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 My apologizes as noted in Swat's thread. I merely overlooked the exact URL link, and was trying to keep the duplicate Interview/Q&A threads to a minimum.
Andy867 Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 No, more like "trying-to-keep-lf.com-running-fast" happy. but anyways, post any further information on from the actionvault here
txa1265 Posted August 19, 2003 Author Posted August 19, 2003 Hey - thanks for the interview pointer ... I missed that one while on vacation. Nice little segment - definitely more interesting than all of those me-too previews we had been seeing. Mike
