DomStLeger
The Moment of Silence, the next Ag from House of Tales (maker of Mystery of the Druids) has announced its got a German publisher. Heres the press blurb: The Moment Of Silence under Contract to dtp - Germany's Leading Adventure Game Studio and Publisher Team Up! House of Tales' up-and-coming top adventure title 'The Moment Of Silence' is due to be published by digital tainment pool in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and will appear on the shoebox label. Martin Ganteföhr (House of Tales): "We are extremely happy about the cooperation with dtp and feel that we are perfectly placed in their line up. With its series of renowned adventure releases, dtp has proven that adventure games can be marketed extremely successfully and is rightfully on its way to becoming one of the leading publishers of adventure games. We are convinced that we will make the 'The Moment Of Silence' a resounding success in collaboration with dtp. And heres some purdy pictures... (pity they're only small...) * Point and click adventure of the next generation * More than 70 full-feature locations * 35 3D characters * Gripping, futuristic conspiracy thriller * Spectacular camera settings, dynamic camera * Real-time facial expressions * Pure mystery fun And it's seems from that feature list that it might be in 3d. Heres hoping... I've been looking forward to this game for quite a while. So much so I'll probably even buy the german version

AC | Murray
The backgrounds are pre-rendered (at least that's what they looked like at last years Games Convention) and the characters are 3D. And here's another shot of MOS in high resolution.
ragou
* Point and click adventure of the next generation * More than 70 full-feature locations * 35 3D characters * Gripping, futuristic conspiracy thriller * Spectacular camera settings, dynamic camera * Real-time facial expressions * Pure mystery fun How come AG features so often are described with "x locations and y characters"? I mean, think of an Indiana Jones movie. Then think if it would be described with "Indiana travels to 50 different locations and meets 40 different characters". Now who would go out and see a movie described like that? A game with 80 locations must be much better than a game with just 70, right? The only thing in that feature list that is relevant is "Gripping, futuristic conspiracy thriller". But that is so general that it hardly says anything about the game. Not even the full press release says anything on what the game will be like. I think the game developers should think more about promoting the content of the game instead of having some numbers and technical facts.
Homoludens
* Point and click adventure of the next generation WTF is that supposed to mean? That it doesn't look anything like the 'previous generation'? Whuh?!
