ptdc Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 It's hard to tell what's going on in the community because the site is down. Has everybody gone? Does anybody even look here anymore?
ptdc Posted August 13, 2003 Author Posted August 13, 2003 But I want to talk to someone who knows what's going on!
Q4Z2X Posted August 15, 2003 Posted August 15, 2003 this forum is no fun.. i should have actually looked at it before signing up..
ptdc Posted August 15, 2003 Author Posted August 15, 2003 I hope this teaches you an important lesson. Look before you leap... or was it try before you buy?
Ray Jones Posted August 15, 2003 Posted August 15, 2003 Hey .. i just was looking .. .. but i didnt found some interresting .. :D anybody got an idea what could be done for more fun ..
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 I know! I've always wanted to test the hempispherical geological effects of coriolis for myself, without having to fly to the southern hemisphere to make the observations firsthand...this is my big chance! Everyone go and flush your toilet. Right now. Then come back and post which direction the water flows--clockwise or counter-clockwise. Mine goes counter-clockwise. New code: I gots da boogie--who gots da rhythm?
ptdc Posted August 16, 2003 Author Posted August 16, 2003 That effect is sort of an urban legend. Although there is a such an effect, it only really affects the direction hurricanes and large storms spin. It's possible to find water spinning both ways in one house and if you do it right in the same basin.
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Hee-hee. I say, old chum: clockwise or counter-clockwise? (Observations first. Conclusions last. Good science?)
ptdc Posted August 20, 2003 Author Posted August 20, 2003 I think this website should change from being for people who develop adventures, to developers who have adventures. It could be the next big thing, like extreme ironing but better.
