TunaMurray
so Im going to post some pics of my alam clock wich Ive almost finished making You see I used an old portable laptop cd player to play an audio cd. It wouldn’t start playing as soon as power was supplied to it so I had to sodder and remove some stuff. Then at the play switch I connected an old wrist watch so when the alarm goes off on it it sends the signal to play a cd. I was originally going to have a digital timer supplying the power and then I was going to have a boat's key switch as the play button but I ran into some problems. I though a watch was cooler anyway but I have to wait to see if that even works because I dont have a battery that works.

Darth Groovy
I think it would make more sense if we could see the finished project. BTW what are you trying to say about legos? I still have the same legos I had when I was a kid.
Ernil
Yeah...I once made one of those....but it was too boring....so I gave up. Right. Actually, I spend my time sitting here and picking my nose.
Gabez
Looks good - but you should give it a Monkey Island theme for EXTRA FUN. ;

Branik
Now if only Tuna made some kind of MI-theme casing for it, I'd want one too.
TunaMurray
sorry I haven’t been on much -I had some problems with the alarm and I needed to add something so I thought what better to add than something that adds. so I tried to connect an old calculator to it but it got fried from all the power I was running to it. I’m going to find a switch later that when power is supplied to the switch it pops on and then does not get turned off until you turn it off by hand (kinda like a reverse breaker switch) then it will work fine. My girlfriend says I shouldn’t take it on the plane when I go back to school though because it looks like a bomb -I said the lego comment because while most kids collect and play with legos I just played with wires and took apart T.Vs and stuff. I did have legos -they are somewhere around here still- but I find wires and electricity much more fun -for a monkey island theme the easiest thing to do would be to use the monkey island theme song in the cd player. I also thought of a few other things I could do 1. In monkey island 3 when guybrush is on the roller coaster there is the fake Herman. I can print him out, remove the arm that he waves, add a hard back to the print out, and then use a small motor to cause him to wave when the alarm goes off 2. make the cd player case look like a giant Murray head 3.put the whole thing in my rubber chicken and add a pulley 4.de magnetize the EMI magnets I got and then put them all over the cd player case 5 just name the alarm the Jethro VanGhoderFashesson Poject (spelling may be off on that one –its been a while) 6. using strictly bubble gum and paper clips rig the alarm to start my computer then run Monkey Island oo and then open up a portal into the game where then I could wonder through the streets of Puente Pollo, or have a drink in the Scumm Bar, or climb to the top of skull island, or TERRORIZE THE LIVING WITH MURRAY MWHAHAHA, OR FIND THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND. Ok Im done now
