Yes ... sometimes that insight is worth the read by itself. I am glad I have a high speed line ... I downloaded what purported to be 'Official Trailer #2' from gamespot. DO NOT BOTHER ... it is just Trailer #1 from E3, perhaps higher res, but still as dark and from an apparently old build... Mike

I agree - what I'm saying is that GameSpot has Trailer #2 labelled as #1, and then just added the old trailer labelled as #2. Confused? All I can say is go to the official site and grab Trailer #2, as Joe says - it is higher res and lower size than the GameSpot version. Mike

I agree. It's always nice to see the developer's perspective, and I often find it interesting to see the early development stages for a game, especially if it includes old concept art and the like.

I'll re-read the article and see if there's anything else. If anyone can host pictures I can scan them and send them to him/her so others can see it. Any UK fan should get this mag as soon as they can, it has a preview of Knights of the Old Republic too. Got a big picture of a Sith on it, (from KOTOR not JA strangely) so you can't miss it lol! EDIT: I jsut re-read it and found some more stuff. Reveal hidden contents THe vehicles are apprantly quite disappointing, they say the speeder bike level was the only let down as the handelling was "woeful" and that you CANNOT drive AT-ST's as first reported. Why remove a feature already in the game I don't know. They also list some locations as Tatooine and Hoth as we all know, and Coruscant and "Darth Vadar's Castle Residence" whatever that may be. The new force powers listed are Protect, Drain, Absorb, Sight and Dark Rage, all from JO MP it seems. There's also a picture of an X Wing blowing some stuff up with the caption "Kyle Katarn lends aerial support from his X-Wing". Never knew Kyle had an X-Wing lol! It also says that the reason you get to upgrade your lightsaber is as your old one gets destroyed, sounding very JKish, except here you get to design your new one. It also says you can carry on fighting once you've force thrown your other lightsaber if you use two, which sounds like a neat feature. Whew, that's all for now I think! Sounds like PC Zone may have been a little misinformed or mistaken, whatever...

GameSpy's Daily newsletter this weekend had the 'releases of September', and for September 17th it listed 'Jedi Knight 3'. The release list is here. GameSpy has seemed (IMO) to give JA very little attention and/or respect. They feature Halo and the lates BF1942 mod ... which I suppose is reasonable since BF1942 was so highly rated last year and Halo is still X-Box king ... but shouldn't they have at least gotten the name right ?!? Mike Yeah, for a big gaming site, with their 'finger on the pulse' that seems like pure laziness. And as for PC Zone being mistaken...which part were you referring to Mr. Gummelt? You quoted quite a few bits there. *assumes it's the bit about the AT-STs*
Andy867 Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 I wouldn't be surprised if the stuff listed is wrong, like when was the last time Kyle took a crash course in an XWing especially since he loves his Raven Claw since it was redone for Jedi Outcast. And why would Raven post about driving vehicles like the AT-ST only to remove it.. Like Chang said, it sounds like the PC Zone got their information mixed up or were misinformed.
