Randon_Star Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 i just got swg im gonna start playing wednsday but iv got some questions 1)how long is 1.9 meters 2)im thinking of becoming a brawler/artisan what would u suggest 3)what planet should i start on 4)is it worth it to join a group 5)i wanna be a zabrek would that be a good idea with me being a brawler and all -thanks in advance
Randon_Star Posted August 31, 2003 Author Posted August 31, 2003 yea umm guys whats the point in just looking at my post ill promise u it isnt that interesting theyre simple question i jus want an opinion unless well ur too lazy to give me one
Just Darth Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 well, it is kind of late in the U.S.A., where this game was released.... 1.9 meters is around 6 feet. Brawlers are nearly useless, but if you're dead set on becoming one try a Trandoshan, they get racial bonuses. Any race can be an artisan, but I see a lot of Mon Calamari artisans running around. If you want to be a rebel I'd suggest starting on Corellia, if you want to be an imperiral I suggest Naboo. Otherwise go with Tatooine. Group? I suppose. It depends on whether you like being around other people. Zabraks recover mind quickly, which is good if you want to be a medic or artisan, and they have resistance to stun and whatnot, so yeah be a zabrak. Or don't.
Randon_Star Posted August 31, 2003 Author Posted August 31, 2003 if not a brawler whats a good fighting profession im guesing marksman
Randon_Star Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 alright one more quick question if i can play glaxies i can play everquest and planetside on the net too right.........
Abaddon Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 galaxies, everquest and planetside are all controlled by SOE so yes... Isn't 1.9m (~6.23feet) kinda of tall for a zarbak
Jan Gaarni Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 1.90 meters is 6.23 feet, yes. An average human, for instance, is around 1.80 tall I think. I forget what the average Zabrak was, but I'm fairly positiv it's alittle under that. If you need to convert something I find this site very usefull.
Randon_Star Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 im a BIG red tradoshin now with like 2000 creds and a modified pitol and a intermediate pistol skill in the Chilastra galaxy on talus under the name revanex wearing black pants below my nees and a black jacket without an undershirt -i find the people here are quite helpful iv made allot of friends oh and actually i read in the instruction manual that humans and zabraks can both reach 1.9 meters........ HELP: i dont know what to do next what career can i persue and how can i persue it??? im guessing pistoleer isnt too far away for me
Jo Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 now that you are workin up some stuff.. start lookin at some elite proffesions..im just now about to master marksman and have finally decided to persue bounty hunter.
Randon_Star Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 how do u get from marksman to bounty hunter? EDIT: i think i wanna be a smuggler Smuggler: A smuggler is proficient at moving illicit materials past security or 'faction police'. Requirements: Marksman(Pistol Specialist), Brawler(Master Unarmed) Disciplines: Underworld, Slicing, Dirty Fighting, Spices -does unarmed mean i have to fight bare fisted?
Randon_Star Posted September 5, 2003 Author Posted September 5, 2003 nevermind what i said im goin for bounty hunter. smuggler wants me to have artisan skills so forget that -does anybody kno somebody who can sell me some good (black) leg armor for around 1000 credits? oh and if ur in the chilastra galaxy look at the pistol im selling its on bid for 1000 one of a kind at the bazaar too
Jan Gaarni Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 nevermind what i said im goin for bounty hunter. smuggler wants me to have artisan skills so forget that Huh?!? You're kidding, right? Or is this something new?

Abaddon Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Originally posted by Jan Gaarni Huh?!? You're kidding, right? Or is this something new? Smuggler: business IV: business Diversity & Engineering Specialist (artisan) unared specialist (brawler) pistol specialists (marksman)
Randon_Star Posted September 7, 2003 Author Posted September 7, 2003 yea see i knew it lol -im still looking for (black) armor im trandoshin so i fugure i have to get it sliced before i can wear it
DarkLordEclipse Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 this character seems resonable except for the hight issue.
Randon_Star Posted September 7, 2003 Author Posted September 7, 2003 theres no hight issue im not a zabrak im trandoshin and trandoshins come close to wookies i think ill go back to being a smuggler but i still want black armor and maybe some black eye wear for my character im gonna have 6000 credits so if u kno anybody who can get me black armor for that price tell me chilastra, talus, deark, Revanex
Jan Gaarni Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Originally posted by Abaddon Smuggler: business IV: business Diversity & Engineering Specialist (artisan) unared specialist (brawler) pistol specialists (marksman) Hahaha, i never noticed that. :D Thanks.
Jan Gaarni Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Hmmm, I just came right out of the game, and are you totally sure about this? Cause I checked and it looks like my initial feeling was right: You only need unarmed combat and pistol skills to qualify for the smuggler profession.
Randon_Star Posted September 8, 2003 Author Posted September 8, 2003 Originally posted by Abaddon its, trandoshans..... btw or doshans whatever lol and im pretty sure u need artisan are u a smuggler?
Abaddon Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 that information was directly from the swg instruction manual... Since I haven't be ingame it could have changed with a patch, but from v1.0, smuggler needs some artisan skills.
Wraith 8 Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 lol you guys are all wrong about the smuggler profession the book that comes with the game is OLD in beta i had to get artisian to becme a smuggler now in game you only need brawler and marksman
Abaddon Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 aye, it wasn't that big of a deal anyway... i never said you needed master artisan, lol. []
Randon_Star Posted September 9, 2003 Author Posted September 9, 2003 even better lol -again i still need black armor of any kind please send me a message im in galaxy: chalistra planet: talus city: dearc name: Revanex i really want some black armor it would complete my character if u or the armorsmith arent on talus tell me ill raise money for dalivery too
