Ok, I'll bite ... this was a fun read! I am bemused by fan theories that suggest there's some hidden message or conspiracy in the MI games. (Isn't there one that posits that Guybush is secretly a girl?) What's kind of brilliant about this interpretation is that you've taken what I think can be charitably described as ... a very implausible reading at face value ( ) and made a case for it which is intriguing if not wholly convincing. So ... I don't personally buy it, but I think theories like this make the game richer, and I enjoyed the close reading of various details. This looks like it took a lot of time and thought, and I appreciated reading it. It reminded me of the old days when this would have been an article on a geocities fan site, and I mean that in the best possible way!
