Variants are a double-edged sword, as they quickly clutter up the thread (MI1 is already a beast in that regard), and adding color variations on top of layout variations multiplies the problem. The v2 variant for MI2 was never really close to the original coloring, so I ditched it for the updated version. I might revisit MI1 to slightly desaturate the coloring, and maybe adding more variants as smaller thumbnails might be an option? I'll think about it.

I have added several versions of my new restoration of Steve Purcell's Zak McKracken artwork to the thread. Enjoy!

I think I have material for some of those. Though I don't think I'll do all the Star Wars games.

I don't really have a priority list, as I just continue working on what I feel like that day. Zak is close to done, so that's probably coming next. Maniac Mansion is quite far along as well. I'm still missing more scans for Outlaws and I'll probably get some better scans for EfMI soon.
I've played around with logo removal on The Dig and Loom, so those might get an update further down the line as well.
Apart from that, there are no immediate further plans. What myriad of unscanned covers/posters are you referring to?

Yeah, I figured as much. Since I am going to assemble different versions anyway, I'll have at least one alternative logo size and placement, that barely intersects with Zak or the bread, plus one that covers up the bread like the original.

Getting there. (And finally, the bread is in front of the logo)

Is there still no way to swap out the backgrounds in Grim Remastered? They could be upscaled quite well by now.

I remember buying them alongside tons of other stuff when EVERYTHING in the TTG store was 90% off and worldwide shipping was free when they had to clear their warehouse.

Sorry!

I don't think the Dhani storyline is over yet... after all, Cinta is still stuck on Aldhani,
and the trailer already showed us her seeing the arrival of a Star Destroyer.

Latest episode was great.

And I don't think you have tried to recreate the one from Zak McKraken right ? If so i'm interested
I have:
These are all seamless as well, so if you need to scale them down, they can be repeated in each direction. They are not perfect, but I haven't had time to refine them further.

That's the Maniac Mansion pattern though.

I finally repainted that damn bread. (The surrounding area will be touched up later)

confirmed that this is in fact the Secret people have been wanting to know for decades and what he had originally envisioned
To me, this doesn't add up, though, because the amusement park "secret" has been revealed at the end of MI2. Why bother all these years to keep shy about telling what the secret is, when he's already revealed it?

Is the Monkey2 SE dev commentary an actual dev commentary? Or another wild layer of Guybrush‘s colorful storytelling?

I would love to hear Dom narrating the hint books. They are written first person, right?
Or as a teaser at least the memoir excerpts from the backs of the boxes.

I've already started editing on my end as well. That's a LOT of material.

I can't get the scans of the normal Outlaws magazine ads without the text on the other side bleeding through. I forget... do I need a thick, black board to place behind it on the scanner to not let the light shine through to the back page?
I usually use a black T-shirt or towel.

Aren't both games based on the Dinky engine? Dinky Explorer might make sense then.

It's not all fun though...

LucasArts Posters: The Revenge

Yeah, color reproduction is a very fuzzy subject. I've found an online printing service here in Germany that matches my monitor's calibration quite closely, but it'll be different for everyone. But as much as you'd want a "correct" color on all the posters, I can tell you, it's impossible. A prime example is Monkey Island - here are scans of several different releases:
Good luck, telling the correct colors from that.
