I'm confused. Is Alien going to be re-released or are they just re-rating it?

I think it's the same as the DVD 25th anniversary edition, only putting the cut scenes back in. I smell another shameless marketing scheme. Oh what the hell, I love those movies anyway!

No I think it's a brand new director's cut... But in any case, new version or not, Alien remains one of the best horror/suspense movies of all time, and is well worth seeing in theaters today... especially on halloween!

I'm not much a fan of the Alien movies but I think the first and second movies are the only ones worth seeing.

 

thats right. there are 4 movies.

 

1. -> good - very good. A MUST to get into the story.. and so on.

2. -> absoutely No. 1 .. the directors cut is WOW!

3. -> ok. ok. they had better fx abilities. worth seeing anyway.. but not as good as 1 or 2. (it has sex scenes.. )

4. -> should have been never released! prrffft. alien and genetics..

 

the books part 1 - 3 are worth reading too ..

Not to get entirely off subject, but I did buy the Aliens Vs Predator 2 Gold edition. Thats AVP2, plus the expansion at an extremely affordable price. Not only do you feel like your in an Alien/Predator movie, but the game is so fun, I find it very hard to put down. If you love either Alien, or Predator movies, buy this game.
