best system (for running JA)

What are some of the best desktop brands and models to run JA? Also what is better geforce or ATI? my lapftop gets about 80 fps but drops to 40 or 30 in mp where every1 is swing their sabers. I eventually want to get a powerful desktop instead. Mobile graphics cards just are not that great

I've seen more problems and issues being raised with JA by people with ATI cards. The latest Catalyst drivers, especially, seem to have issues with the game.

 

My perception of ATI is also coloured by the fact that I own a Radeon 9700 Pro card, and it has issues with a few of my other games (particularly those made with the Lithtech engine), so I would personally recommend a GeForce card.

I use an ATI mobility Radeon 9100 and I didn't encounter any problems with games so far.

ati supposedly is better than nvidia for basic cards, but the top dollar ones are supposed to be somewhat equal. but recently half-life 2 benchmarks put ati as a better card then nvidia
