ET Warrior
It is, however, highly frowned upon by many LucasForums staff members. What Niner said...especially if there's nothing new or interesting to add to the topic.
Darth333
While it is not specifically mentioned in the forum rules, there's no real point to suddenly continue a discussion after more than two years Use some judgment. Surely, we encourage people to use already existing threads but this is to avoid having multiple nearly identical discussions on the same page: we prefer when there is a diversity of topics on the first page to suit various interests rather than 10 " what lightsaber color do you prefer" threads. However, there's no point in bumbing up a thread as old as this one: some posters did not show up in while and it's weird and not too inviting to get into a discussion after so long. You can compare it to milk: before opening a new bottle you finish the old one but if the old bottle is two years old, it's better to leave it there and open a new one... Stop bumping old threads. Next time you see a long dead thread like this one consider starting a new fresh discussion instead of disturbing the dead.
ChAiNz.2da
Next time you see a long dead thread like this one consider starting a new fresh discussion. This however doesn't mean to go digging in past threads just for the sake of starting "new" topics... As a general "keep in mind".. don't go bumping a 2 year old thread just to state an 'opinion'... like Darth333 said, reviving is good to keep the Forums clean, but the 'excusable' bumping was mainly for discussions relating to modding, tech help and other more serious matters... it later bleeded into the 'General' area for board maintenance... Use some judgment.'nuff said
