OK- I have a hypothetical question.

It's personA's birthday. She wants to go out to a club to celebrate. You and your friends agree. You're having a spiffy time when personB picks up a guy/girl. You don't think much of it as personB picks up all the time. You continue to have fun, drink, dance chat to fimiliar faces. The club you're in closes at 3:30am. It's been a busy day and PersonA forgot her ID and can't get into any other clubs.

 

The guy/girl that's just been picked up suggests we all go to another club- one that we had already tried, in which we couldn't get in because PersonA forgot her ID and they won't allow her inside.

 

PersonB decides to go off to this club anyway with the guy/girl he/she has picked up. You think it's rude, you're supposed to be out celebrating. You know PersonA is really upset, but knowing what she's like she' too scared to say anything because she doesn't want to cause a fight. (PersonA, PersonB and you are all best friends- sort of like the 3muskateers sometimes- you do lots of things together) You tell PersonA that you think he/she is selfish and that you can't believe he/she is ditching one of their best friends on her birthday, in the hopes they'll get a quick root.

 

Anyways, PersonB promises to come back to PersonA's house later on (PersonB and yourself are spending the night at PersonA's house) however, PersonB never shows up. You call PersonB at about 6:30am, because you're worried, only to find out he/she got dropped off by the person they picked up.

 

You can see that PersonA is really upset- one of her best friends basically ditched her on her birthday. You're mad because as usual, PersonB hooks up with someone and runs off with that person- a relationship which will probably last about 2 weeks.

 

Given this info-

 

Firstly, if you were PersonB would you have stayed with your friends- friends are more important, they last forever. but relationships come and go. Or would you have ran off with the person you picked up.

 

Secondly, would you be upset about PersonB's behaviour?

Hmm. I'd be pretty ticked if that was my birthday, or my friend's birthday, but if you are like the three musketeers, PersonB will probably realize what she/he did and be sorry, and then you'll forgive him/her and then you'll all be happy.

 

If not, then let PersonB have it in whatever way you want. I suggest darts dipped in mild poison.

Im sorry about whatever happened natty... but you should tell person b how you feel. (I had to tell my best friend everything that she had been doing that was ticking me off since june) I bet if you talk, people will gte mad, but if they are truly a good friend they will look at it from your side too and see what they did wrong.

2.) person A gets along with it or kick Person B and dont invites her for birthday anymore.

3.) person B should think if picking random persons for one night - 1 week stands are so much better that a birthday with friends

4.) next time a orgy would be nice. or at least nasty games in pantees between the girls..

I don't think people should leave their friend if they are a true friend, I could'nt leave my friend on her own or with a strange bloke they just met, I already fell out with a friend over this when she went and left me with a bunch of stange blokes she knew but I didn't I went straight home at 9.00 pm.

You should never ditch your friends for a guy, unless it is okay with them. BUT ESPECIALLY if you are out for a persons birthday. I think it was wrong of the friend to go off and leave everyone else behind. Its just not right.

The answers to this hypothetical question are incredibly bias. "Person A" should have remembered to pick up their ID in the first place. If "Person B" makes an attachment and meets someone new, then "Person A" & friend should really be happy for them rather than jealously criticising their decisions.

okay, i can't relate to this, however i'll post what i think anyway. i would be pissed at person b, and if i was person b and i knew it would be a one night stand, i wouldn't have gone off with someone who i barely knew.

 

and scabb- how would you feel if your best friend went off with someone they didn't know and it was your birthday? well, you probably wouldn't care...neither would i i'd just be pissed at person b for being a jackass all the time and i probably wouldn't be their friend anymore if i knew they slept around with people they pick up at clubs. okay, never mind that question...
