Troopr-Undr-Fir
Oh man, yesterday after I left work I saw that we had just gotten the copies of DX2, but I won't be able to buy it until next week...so if any of you have it, or are gonna buy it today, post here

RoguePhotonic
Well I have it and have only moved around in the apartment so far since I am hooked on knights of the old republic and I have to complain big time about the frame rate....it does not run smooth at all....and **** my basic computer specs: pentium 4 2.8ghz 800fsb Ati radeon 9800 XT 512mb pc3200 think the game should lag? KBell
Rogue- Well, im currently running on a P4, with a GeForce FX5200 and the game runs fine for me. Guess you just kick your computer too much
RoguePhotonic
I think it's the damn multi sampling...that's an antialiasing option...antialiasing will lag the **** out of you but you cannot turn it off!...it has to be at 1X.
Crazy_dog no.3
Speaking of lag, I am trying to play Deus Ex again (so as to prepare for DX 2) but it lags. It hasn't done this when I played it before. Before it ran perfectly w/ a high resolution, etc. It doesn't do that for other games. I installed the patched but nothing is happening. Nothing happens when I reinstall either (or do a combination of the two) Here are my specs if anyone would be nice enough to help: Intel Pentium III, 500MHz 128 MB RAM DirectX 8.1 Graphix card: 16MB 3dfx Voodoo3 3000D AGP Anyway back on topic,, here in the UK we have to wait 'till Febuary to get DX2, so we suck. toms
its been getting ok, but not great reviews. They have definately scaled down the graphics a lot from the early screenshots (probably because of the toll of the lighting effects) and the whole bllom thing and font sizes say to me that it was designed with the xbox as the primary concern. However the story looks to be immersive and cool. If it was any other game i'd be happier than if it was a sequel to DX. I've changed my order to KOTOR instead, but im sure i'll play the whole game when i can get it cheaper.
RoguePhotonic
There is just something about the game that just looks weird...like maybe everything is over sized or something. It needs a patch though...for me none of the settings will stay...have to re set everything every time I launch the game.

I agree it just doesn't look the same like Dues Ex
KBell
Dark- if it looked the same as Deus Ex, then they would be taking a step backwards in the graphics department compared to games nowadays
Troopr-Undr-Fir
Well, tomorrow I am gonna buy the game at my work. But from what I heard (which has been pretty consistant) it is making me kinda nervice. I don't want this game to be crap, cause IMO the first one was one of the best games of all time. Gonna have a lot of time to play, cause my new girlfriend is mad at me, and I don't think we'll be on speaking terms for a while, so I'll just have to make this game my new best friend . So wish me luck.(that the story can keep this game good)
