guest
I dont know if this has been asked yet but i have searched and could not find anything on it so im gunna ask anyway. I tried to install the 1.01 update for JA and it said invalid directory. So i moved it to diferent directories and tried it many times but none success. Then i read what it said on the site which was to reinstall and try to update again. Well i tried that a few times and still no difference. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, please tell me the answer. Thanks for help.
Kurgan
Hope you don't take offense to this question, and be honest... But did you install the game from the original (legally purchased) commercial retail cd's? Or did you copy the files or install them from a bootleg/warez/etc? Because that would answer your question as to why you're having problems right there. An uninstall of JA and reinstall from the original cd's and then re-apply the patch should fix it if you've got a legal copy.
guest
Yes it is a real copy that i just bought today at best buy. If it was pirated, I would already know what the problem would be. But since its not, i dont know what it is.
acdcfanbill
perhaps you installed JA to a nonstandard directory, ie not c:\program files\lucasarts\jedi knight jedi academy That where the updater looks, if you installed it elsewhere, perhaps change the updaters path? I cant remimber exactly how it works, but i think its something like that also make sure your registry is correct, and you havent say, moved the folder since install. Crow_Nest
Like fanbill said, the path is VERY important. Did you accidently change the "path" name? The path should look like this i think: C:\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\JediAcademy.exe Or: C:\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\JediAcademy\GameData Or this: C:\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\Base
Andy867
Actually, the path should be c:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
