I would try to do it myself, but I don't have JA yet . I guess the common thing for vehicles is to black out the glass. Also feel free to delete the interior cockpit polygons to save some in game rendering time. Kengo - you can use all the images posted here for the screenshots plus these new ones that I have taken: note that 2 of the new shots are from Gonk. New Screenshots zip (3.0Mb) kengo if you could pick a few of these and post it on PCGM it would be great, thanks.
tFighterPilot Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 You know, it's funny, every time I try to make a vehicle I have a different problem. When I try to spawn it, it gets me to the main screen with "NPC had an invalid GLA" It worked in modview, weird
Zymotico Posted January 15, 2004 Author Posted January 15, 2004 Did you modify the original mesh groupings? The only way that I got the md3 to compile correctly is to separate out the model into smaller subgroups so that no subgroup will have more than 1024 verticies.

I got that error once and it was because I failed to make an animation.cfg file, didn't think I needed it for a model with no animation.

Actually, I got rid of the landing gear, it was part of the inner section of the ship, which deleting lowered the face count by a lot. I wouldn't have animated it anyway, since I still have bad memories from the AT PT...

Zymotico Posted January 16, 2004 Author Posted January 16, 2004 Yikes, that old site is still up. I've been trying to get jedinights to remove it. I think it would be much easier just to recreate those old models from scratch. Those old 3dos had typical poly counts of ~200 to 300.
