ET Warrior
If my girlfriend wore underwear..I bet I would be obsessed with it.............................. I have one question about Splinter cell2 though...how exactly is multiplayer gonna work? I mean......splinter cells whole premise is that you are a lone CIA man, sneaky sneaky run around style. How will that translate into multiplayer?
Sam Fisher
Well, there are 2 teams on one SP type level, one is the Sam Fisher team, who is on a mission to collect intel, and the other one is the Mercs, who are hunting the Sam's, and eliminite them. That is all I know from looking at the screenies and video that have been released.

MennoniteHobbit
I want to get Splinter Cell, but can't since my parents say its too violent, and i don't have money. is it good?
The Seeker
Bwahahahahahaha Is it good he says. Oh man, it is better than good. In fact it is as close to perfect as a game has come in years. First game I have played in a while that really challenged me and made me think without being tedious and frustrating. And if it's too expensive for you, do what I did. Go to ebay. I got mine for a total price of $20.00 opened, but like new. That's half off the shelf price and the game works perfectly. And the only idea I can offer for your parents is to find and ally what they trust to side with you. If the request for a semi-violent game is coming from someone other than you, then they may listen better. Also tell them that killing is not the object of the game. More than half the time, you can grab a guy and knock them out rather than shooting them. Good luck to you.

MennoniteHobbit
OK... i'll buy it... or when 2nd comes out... btw, JediKnight, im not disrespectful to my parents like that. it kind of is when u put them on the spot like that... oh well
The Seeker
Don't get me wrong, I have more respect for my folks than for anyone else in the world. I didn't put them on the spot and say you don't listen to me, so listen to my sister. I just showed my sister the game in question, and proved to her that it was great. After that, it wasn't me pushing for a new game like always, but my sister, who never has. It's not putting them on the spot, but showing them a different perspective. Swat
Multiplayer Info Compiled from Previews 1) Mercenaries will play from a first-person perspective. The idea is to cut down on their peripheral vision, making them work harder to stay aware of their surroundings 2) Mercenaries will have assault rifles at their disposal, as well as flashbang and frag grenades 3) Mercenaries have the benefit of a number of tracking devices like tripwires and motion detectors feeding information to their heads-up displays. They would also have two special vision modes. One to allow them to see any and all devices emitting electro magnetic fields The other to turn their heads-up displays red. Even if a spy is concealed in the shadows and moving stealthy along, the motion-sensor mode will make them standout like it was broad daylight 4) Shadow Net spies will play from a third-person view, giving them an obvious advantage over the guards 5) Shadow Net spies will be outfitted with equipment similar to what Sam has in the single-player mode. However, they are not allowed to use any lethal weapons, and so will only be able to electrocute guards to stun them momentarily (one shot to a merc's head and his entire HUD is wiped clean and none of his toys work) or sneak up from behind and grab them to unconscious for a period of time 6) Headsets can be used to communicate between teammates or even to talk trash to the poor merc you are holding. The spies will have a "microphone bullet" that they can shoot at a merc, allowing them to listen in to anything the mercs are saying to each other 7) The limitation of four players in an online match might sound negative, but remember, large levels and few players will leave plenty of room for hiding to increase the tension. And with clearly defined objectives in each map, you'll always know where the spies are trying to reach, so there should still be plenty of confrontations Intrigued ET?
