Mercenary Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 If you have 3ds max I see no reason to use gmax or milkshape to create models. I like to use gmax to create the model and milkshape to export it properly to the format needed.
lauser Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Not many people are actually going to 'OWN 3DS Max. They may have access to it but owning it is expensive. Nothing wrong with the other programs either. In fact I use them all to get what I need done.
keshire Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 There are so many more programs... I've used: Houdini SoftImage Poser Bryce Rhyno etc etc Though not all for JKA. I mostly use Max though.
Psyk0Sith Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I use Max because that's what i've been using for a long time, i'm more comfortable witht the interface and workflow. I've also used XSI, Rhino, Milkshape, Truespace, Cinema 4D, Lightwave...etc.
