Do you think that with 11 nominations, The Lord of the Rings could have had at least one actor or actress nominated for best something? SpiffyTheDog
my thoughts: alec baldwin should win best supporting actor for The Cooler. He was amazing - as I watched the movie i kept thinking he should get nominated but that he wouldn't, because it was a pretty 'sleeper' movie. thomas newman should win best score for finding nemo. Plain and simple. That score was beautiful. mystic river shouldn't win anything. best picture is either going to be lost in translation or rotk, hard to decide which one i want to win, myself. best director - well i'd like to see peter jackson win this one for rotk, but it'd be nice to see it won by an independent like the director of city of god. hard for me to say who i want to win best actor. Just not sean penn. same deal for best actress. The girl from whale rider should win but i haven't seen all the other movies. Holly Hunter for best supporting actrss. finding nemo should win best writing directly for the screen and best animated film. that's all I have to say for now, except that I could go on all day with a list of things that shouldve been nominated but weren't. Joshi
Bill Murray should have got it for a lot of things... I haven't seen lost in translation (yet) but I'm led to believe that it's bloody good. I personally thing Sean Astin should win something, or at least be a nominee for something because of his work in ROTK, he was awsome, as was Elija, but Elija wasn't as good as Sean. And Thrik, this isn't my opinion, it's what the oscar people have said, therefore it's not my Gj.
