lagamorph321
Hey all, If you've got the time, preorder the sam n max game from EBGAMES - they still are clueless about the cancellation as are most people. sigh.
lagamorph321
Oh yeah and this is their preorder policy: Pre-orders Your credit card will be charged only when your order is processed. Sometimes, we will process your order one to five days before the release of the product. This allows us to get the product to you faster. Orders containing combinations of pre-order items and in stock merchandise will be broken into separate orders. Each of the separate orders will ship as soon as the merchandise becomes available. Shipping charges will apply to each of the orders independently. From time to time the manufacturers will limit the amount of a product based on their supply. If this happens, we will process the online orders in the order in which they were received. In an effort to ship pre-orders as quickly as possible, sometimes we use a third party distributor to drop ship the merchandise directly to you. This allows us to eliminate the time it takes to ship product to our warehouse and receive it before shipping it out to you. Due to the tight time constraints required by this accelerated shipping method, some orders will not make it into our drop ship process. Those orders are shipped directly from our warehouse usually no more than one day after the drop shipment. Some of the order types that will typically miss our drop ship process are: - Pre-orders received by us too close to the release date. Cut-off dates are normally three or four days in advance of the ship date. - International orders. - P.O. Box and APO/FPO. - Pre-orders that fail our credit authorization process. From time to time, EBgames.com will offer a special promotional item with a pre-order. Due to limited availability, these promotions can only be offered while supplies last. Still Have a Question? If you didn't find what you needed here, feel free to call our Customer Service center at 1-877-432-9675 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. If you prefer, contact us by e-mail. Hours of operation: Open 7 days a week, 8:00 am to midnight EST.
Skinkie
...Why would we order it if it's been cancelled? Maybe I'm missing something.
SyntheticGerbil
DOn't do that. I think all of their rotten money comes from preorders anyways. Then their nasty managers get their disgusting promotion and buy LAN parties or something.
BlueRockman
Unless they know something we don't, there's absolutely no point in pre-ordering a cancelled game. For the time being, the fight must continue on, until we see from LucasArts themselves that the game is going to hit the store shelves. Only then will I renew my now-cancelled pre-order on Sam and Max: Freelance Police. Hmmmmm.... we should send someone to spy on EBGames.... lagamorph321
Hey all, I see supposedly 10000 plus sigs on the pettitions to save Sam and Max Freelance police. Wouldn't a few thousand preorders at EBGAMES be a little more convincing? I could 'sign' the pettitions 10000 times myself, but who's gonna preorder Freelance police more than 1 or 2 times at EBGAMES? Maybe lucasarts will get a call from EBGAMES, maybe not. I know it's a long shot, but what other great ideas do people have to get lucasarts's attention? Oh well, sigh. I guess I'll write some more letters to pr@lucasarts.com. Keep the interest up. The LeChuckie
Try and get as many websites as possible to push the name of LucasArts in the mud. Persuade them to mention how far up their ass they are.
Sam&Max4ever
I can see where you are going, maybe if we all pre-order the game, EB games will discover how many money they will loose and then start a silent protest, maybe even contact LA..Its worth a shot
psbales
Just ordered mine. Remember folks, if there's one (and most likely only) thing that LucasArts understands nowadays, its money. If they see that there's thousands of pre-orders, they *will* understand that "current market place realities and underlying economic considerations" just might be favorable to a highly anticipated graphic adventure game after all. In short: Go pre-order now!!!! PS - To put it another way, an agreement by Paul Balestrieri to give money to EBGames is a heck of a lot better and more convincing than 100 "h4X0r 4 L1f3"'s signing an online petition. Brushguy
This is a long shot...but it might work! GO PRE-ORDER SAM AND MAX: FREELANCE POLICE! CONVINCE LUCASARTS THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL BUY IT! I remember one magazine had "Super Mario 64 2" or pre-order FOREVER, way back in 1997 even, and it had a fake cut and pasted screenshot of Mario and Luigi on the last level on SM64 to fool you. It also had the Conker game on pre-order, before they turned it into something else...
lagamorph321
Thanks for the few positive responses. If we get enough responses, maybe a gaming site will write up a story. They definitely have more weight that a rabid fan like me. 100 + looks - made you look! hee hee. feel free to email me with any Sam N Max 2 stuff - lagamorph321@yahoo.com
SyntheticGerbil
You guys is stoopid. This is not going to directly affect LucasARts. This is only helping EBGames and Gamestop or whatever. They make a killing off of preorders and holding your money. I'm sure the longer they can hold it without telling you anything is the longer they can do devious, sexual things with your dirty cash. psbales
SyntheticGerbil, I don't normally feed the troll, but I'll make an excption just this one time, since what you said is blatantly false and I don't want any confusion. From http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/help/products/preOrders.asp : Pre-orders Your credit card will be charged only when your order is processed. If Sam and Max doesn't ship, you never pay. EBGames does not hold any of your money. Period.

Darkhelm
Ok, pre-order placed. I now have 5 percent more hope this is going to be released, that's the major reason I pre-ordered: I don't want to give up hope that LEC will come back to their senses! lagamorph321
That makes one more. thanks! keep the preorders going. Sam and Max fans, quietly order one for yourself and one for your brother or sister or coworker.
SyntheticGerbil
Well okay, maybe I'm wrong. It's funny they would need your credit card for a preorder if they aren't charging you. AND BESIDES, WHAT I'M STILL TRYING TO SAY, IS THAT THIS IS INDEED A VERY DAFT IDEA.

If you don't check your e-mails regularly, you might not get the notice, and many other things. 2nd: Check your credit card statement. If they charged something, calll EBGames up, and complain. *preorders*
