Does anyone know how and if the Empire is going to come into Episode 3. How do you think it will all start?

Someone told me that Palpatine turns the Republic into The Empire because he gets full command and orders all the Jedi to be wiped out. Is that true?

Any info would be useful.

Well, I'd tell you, but this is the no spoilers allowed forum. :D How about I move this on over to the spoilers allowed one.

There.

Ok, in Episode III we'll see the rise of the empire and yes, Palpy does order the killing of all the Jedi. The very same troopers that the Jedi had been commanding for years are ordered by the Emperor to turn on their generals and they do so without question.

yes, it seems palpy refuses to give away his emergency powers, and tells anakin of his plan to "convert" the republic into the empire and tells ani of the rebellion that is being started by organa, padme, and mothma. then he sends ani to do his dirty work.:D

I was hoping the empire would be in it. I didn't want a eu source to shown the transition. I am just hoping for AT-AT Walkers, AT-ST Walkers, stormtroopers, tie fighters and star destroyers in episode III.

I doubt you'll see those vehicles in exactly the same design as the OT.

The prequels you'll notice, have had the vehicles evolving closer to what the TIE fighters and AT-AT's etc. look like in the OT. ;)

I hope the Imperial starships and vehicles look very similar to the original trilogy Imperial craft because I thought the Empire was going to be in place at the end of Episode III. They need lots of transition to the original trilogy.
