Well, at least that's something. A playable demo for certain platforms is better than nothing at all. :p

As for dates...

UK = dd/mm/yyyy

US = mm/dd/yyyy

Best method (in my view) = yyyy/mm/dd

That way you go from the largest to smallest and do away with all this confusion. :rolleyes:

The american one is certinly the worst, since it isn't in any sensable order.

well... those measurements are all we Americans have grown up with... we may know the other methods, but to us, they seem odd.

Bottom Line: It's all a matter of perspective.

its all from a point of view/perception as one pointed out. The babyloniers used 60, which is in some ways superior to a 10-thingy system cause 60/3 is a nice number, 10/3 aint etc...Its why a cirkle is 360 degrees, in a regular triangle (where all angles are the same) they gave each one 60, and in a cirkle you can fit 5 of them triangles which make 360 and it stayed like that (mostly thanks to the greek) and was never converted to the 10-hingy system....however pro's use 400 gon

and about the demo, releasing with the dvd doesnt seem that wise after all, unless they dont release it for pc on the web...which would be dumb

Actually, you can convert them to Radians.

By the way, much easier to count by ten then to count by 12, 6, whatever. Like the English money too...damn it's like so complicated compared to the standard 1$ equals 100x0.01$ etc.

actually this is a pretty smart marketing move since the dvd and star wars battlefront are coming out on the same day, so this won't upset people who are going to really want the game since they can buy it that day. the demo seems to be used to target the star wars fan that is a casual gamer which more likely is to have a xbox then a pc to play games. it seems they are using the demo to advertise the game to people who don't know about it instead of building hype in the community.

wow this subject sure changed quickly.

WEll that's because the first post stated a question but also answered it, therefore leaving no room for debate and thus, the subject changed... And me too will get it for PC. PC R0x0rZ!
