Hmmm I would like a Bastila reskin, to be specific I would like a Dark Side Bastila reskin. Here is my idea: I would like a Bastila with black hair and Byzantine (read:Royal or Imperial) Purple robes along with Purple facial tatoos, like Yuthura Ban's.

Sup yo, well I think I speak for a lot of people when I say the one mod I would definitely like to see is,

 

all of Prime's robes usable for female PC's!!:D

 

I remember asking about this awhile back, and he said it would be a ton of work, so maybe a kind of contracting of the work out could help perhaps? =D

It's been awhile since I've been back to these forums, but in looking around I've seen that there have been a few more robe mods added. But I mean, OMG, have you people even seen this guy's Anakin-style robe?! :eek: , yeah, that was me when i saw it too, and just imagining my femme fatale in that outfit, heheh. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Actually, I found out something that might help! :) Renaming the file from "PMBI" to "PFBI" allows the female character to put it on, albeit along with the weird textures due to the way the clothes are warped on differently for females. HOWEVER, looking at your female character from the Character Info screen, (the one where you can see your DS/LS alignment), the robes look fine, and all the textures seem to line up ok. Now, I THINK this may be because at this screen your female character is standing up straight and tall, just like a male character. Whereas, in the game the female characters all stand with their hips pushed out to their right side, and compared with the male characters they all run with their booties swinging slightly from side to side, (a very nice touch i might add:D ) Now I'm not sure if this would work or not , but instead of having to retexture the robes, couldn't you just change the way the female characters stand, and run? By making them stand and move like male characters, (in other words, make it so that they have their robes mapped onto them the same way as males) would that possibly solve the problem of Prime's robes being warped on all funky for female characters?

amazingly, i do actually have a life, and dont have time to make everything and everything people ask for, besides if you read alot of them you'll find there not possible due to the fact we cant edit models.

I'm glad you liked my robes, numark79 :)

 

Unfortunately, it would indeed take some work to make a female version of the robes. Mainly it has to do with realigning the waist and back areas, IIRC. But it was a painstaking process for the male version because a straight line on the texture doesn't translate to a straight line on the model. Because of this, things take a tremendous amount of tweeking before they look right.

I don't think we have the ability currently to alter things like that. It is probably just easier to redo the textures.

 

Personally, I don't have the time (or the motivation) right now to go though all the tweeking to get the files to work on the female models. However, I am certainly willing to allow someone else to make these changes to the files and release them. I think I still have the Paintshop Pro files with all the layers which would make things a bit easier...

Word, that's hella cool of you Prime. Now, in response to this I must say,

 

Please, could somebody volunteer to do this?! :D

 

I mean if nobody else will, then I'd give it a go myself =\, but unfortunately I feel as if my noob-tastic skills would just be grotesquely lacking towards the task at hand. To let someone like me have the honor of working on Prime's stuff, man, that's gotta be a crime in some countries right? Hopefully, somebody will take up this project, if not, well, I guess we'll just have to see then.

I have a script request.

Here's what I would like:

 

The body of the Sith apprentice in the temple on the unknown world.

 

unk_44darkjed443.utc in unk_m44aa_s.rim

This is the guy you get the Upari crystal off of.

 

I need an "on death"(?) script that adds an item to his inventory.

 

1) it checks the PCs alignment

2) if lightside add item A

3) if darkside add item B

If you're neutral I guess you don't get anything 'cause you should of picked a side by now:D

 

Why?

I decided to make Jedi/Darth Revan's lightsaber(depending on your alignment). I'm using existing models since just tweaking RGB doesn't really cut it. This is a good point to stick them in the game since they're not much more powerfull than what you would all ready have but unbalanced if you recieved early on.

 

Other wise I'll just add both to the .utc file. They're restricted to light/dark so I could only use one anyway.

Modify the above script as necessary. To get the script to fire correctly you'll need to modify the OnSpawn script (usually k_def_spawn) by uncommenting the following line:

GN_SetSpawnInCondition(SW_FLAG_EVENT_ON_DEATH);

(remove the // in front of it.)

 

Save the script with a unique name (eg. my_spawn.nss). Compile it, and change the .utc OnSpawn script to 'my_spawn'. The script I posted above should also be saved with a unique name (eg. my_death.nss)., and the utc UserDefine field should point to it.

Hmm..

Didn't work:( The Sith apprentice uses a different onSpawn(no source) so I tried it on one of the Dark Jedi with no results.

I did have the include files(k_inc_debug, k_inc_generic) in the root directory when I compiled them. Any thoughts?

Okay then how about this...

 

change the script I posted by omitting the first two lines:

int nUser...

if (nUser...

Then at the end of the script add the following line before the closing brace:

ExecuteScript("k_def_death01",OBJECT_SELF);

 

Next save the script and compile it with a unique name and then finally, change the .utc of the jedi so that the OnDeath field points to the name of your new script.

 

Basically, this injects your script before the default OnDeath script executes.

Sorry, but that oughta require new modelies, and we not knowing how to doing somthing with them, because I at tleast don't know a suitable model to reskin

Thats not completely true. It all really depends on which version of Palpantine you want, if you want the one in the cloak then it is possible to get something close to without the need for a new model. You could reskin the capeless reven robe to look like the emperors then you could do a reskin of one of the old male npc's(like nemo) and add a new row in appearance.2da for him. this would be easy enough to do, But I can't do the reskin Im totally inept when It comes art.

 

But do you want to be able to play as Palpantine or do you want him to replace one of the villains.

i recall seeing a redone face or partial mod for palpatine in the last few days / this week , was just a close up pic of the face with the wrinkly chin and shadows though
