Just to inform you that my web site with http://www.tripod.lycos.com has been cancelled this morning. It says:"Please Note: You are no longer an authorized member of Tripod. You have been removed because your web site violated our Terms of Service or you chose to self-delete. For more information, click here."

I definitely did not chose to self-delete...

I only had my mods there...

Did that happened to someone else?

My site is on angelfire as well :eyepop It's still there, I hope. Knock on wood, and cross my fingers!!!!! But they have killed all the pics I had linked to this forum???? So I have uploaded the pics to a free photo publisher. it gives you 250 mb of free space not bad so I will fix all the links that have suddenly been road blocked. Good luck in finding a new host Darth333 I looked for quite a while but most free web site don’t allow zips and they will delete them without notice it’s written in the fine print usually but it’s there. I never saw anything like that on angelfire so I thought I was alright. I also have my zips in my image folder so maybe they just haven’t’ caught me …..YET

I don't believe Tripod allows direct linking to images and the like. You need to have those on a page hosted at Tripod. I suspect that is why yours was terminated...

You're probably right. I must be paranoid... probably because I'm a lawyer :p

But if this is the case, they really have a zero tolerance policy. I only tried that once with a 1 or 2 ko file!

All my pictures are published at photobuckett!!!

I'm trying a French site...i hope they won't close it because it's in English...

Lol I think the language police [ nazis ] are to worried the Liberals will stay in power to care about your site. Down with 101 and 178

You could always appease them by using text size + 4 for French text and and size 4 for English that would keep them at bay :D

a way that i have know for a while that lets you get away with zip files on angelfire , lycos and others that dont allow it is rename the file to ..

filename.txt

and then put a piece below it "once downloaded rename file to filename.zip and open as usual"

they dont really care if txt files are on your site , even if they are a couple of megs big
