XoRRoX Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 you can read about it under "chat" in the frontpage of this site XoRRoX
VanLingo Posted May 28, 2004 Author Posted May 28, 2004 Don't worry -- I'm two steps ahead of you guys. Our forum has three public boards -- General, Diplomacy, and Announcements. It also has four members-only boards -- one for each squad, and a general Tactics board. Other than that, we can just make stuff up on the fly with the headset.
XoRRoX Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 that sounds good VanLingo..... I will also like to say that i first will get the game the 25rd September because thats my birthday XoRRoX
Sharpshooter Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 I'll do my best to back you up in battle valingo!! Just tell me when and where!!
BlitzWolf Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 i like making things on the fly. it makes us more adaptive and less predictable.
yaebginn Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 but good planning can beat making things up anyday. even rag tag smugglers in Hutt Gambit made plans and drilled. it may seem cool to be spontaneous and not plan, but if you dont have a plan, you're going nowhere.
BlitzWolf Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 i'm just saying if things go wrong it's always good to be able to adapt, but sticking to a plan is always the best thing. that way you know what you need to do when some one is doing something else and you stay as a team.
VanLingo Posted May 29, 2004 Author Posted May 29, 2004 Planning is good, but we'll need to spend quite a bit of time with the maps before we actually know what we're doing. And Yaeb...the Hut Gambit was an EXCELLENT book, but it was all fake. Even if it was relevant, the Imps had orders to lose, remember? Hello, Sharpshooter! Good to see you jump in on our discussions.
yaebginn Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 well, the moff even said that he was glad that they were ordered to leave. at first he was sd, then near the end, he was impressed and a little worried. I'll tell sharpshooter the site name so he can get on more often. gt your email, van, I'll be on later tongiht
yaebginn Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 HD, I was thinking about ORG, but recently decided agaisnt it, I wish you and your clan best of luck. I'll go post that in ORG so there is no confusion. new news! the smuggler now isnt the medic, the pilot now is. visit the rebels revisited thread in the battlefront forum. you're going to have to redo your roster somewhat. cause now the pilot is also the medic. and he has a scattergun. there now is no spy, and the wookie's medpac got replaced with a timebomb. read it.
VanLingo Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 Nice... I like the idea. Now players are more of a handful (since there are only 8 per team anyway). I'll update our website as soon as I have enough time. Thanks, Yaeb.
yaebginn Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 anytime. I was excited when i read it. at least you pilots now at least have a chance on the ground. and now the soldiers have another way to blow things up. problem, there's noly one guy in rancor, will I be excluded since mynock and wampa are near full? how are we going to work it if everyone on the clan comes to battle, plus one more so myncok is full. Then I'd be an outlier and what'll we do then, we have to have some way of working it all out. Oh, my cousin might join
LukeKatarn Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 If you make forums I will be a represenative from the IEF if boran lets me.
yaebginn Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Whatever Van Lingo says, but its fine with me. Has anyone ever read Plague Dogs? about those two dogs who escape from an Animal Research Facility? That book is good.
VanLingo Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 To clear some things up -- Yaeb, the roster is going to get re-worked later on. Until then, I'll probably just make a list of members to post. And as for the forums, I guess I'll go ahead and release the URL. It is (drumroll please): http://swbattlefront.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl I'll link it soon. LukeKatarn, once you register I will make you the IEF emissary to our clan. Unless Boran disagrees. -- Lingo
yaebginn Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 everyone who is in Hire on Demand, please check in. I'm beginning to think the olny members are and lingo. that isn't very comforting, no offense, lingo. I know sharpshooter'll be on, he just has relatives over, and I think max weatherford will, cause he's never posted. but the rest of you, please check in if you are interested.
XoRRoX Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 If have checked in now, sorry i took so long time for i was sleeping when Lingo write the nws XoRRox
BlitzWolf Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 i've been at school finishing up my finals. only one more day left.
yaebginn Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 good, just getting a bit worried that our members arent here, good to know that they are. Van Lingo, you're from texas, right? Only steers and queers come from texas, and you dont look like no steer to me.
VanLingo Posted June 5, 2004 Author Posted June 5, 2004 You've never seen me before. It's not wise to call a Texan a queer.
yaebginn Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I know, I just recently saw Full Metal Jacket. hope you took no offense, though it was mildly amusing.
VanLingo Posted June 6, 2004 Author Posted June 6, 2004 That was pretty funny -- I was just fooling around. Good movie, btw. "What is your major malfunction, Private Pyle?!"
