Pahricida
Heya Hope someone will be able to help me. The Problem is simple but I somehow I can't fix it. The Blade of my so-called saber emits skewed at 90° and no matter what I try it will stay in that position. I've already tried the following things: -rotated the tags in ms3D -erased the tags and created new ones -used Psyk0s' Tags -compiled with JA md3 view with and without "90 degree skewing option" -compiled with JK2 md3view and nothing worked ... I'm getting tired now what is this damnit?
Psyk0Sith
If you load your hilt in modview and show origin axis then compare it with a "working one" you should be able to figure out how to rotate your tags.

Andur_Sunrider
Im getting the same problem however when I try to load it in modview I get the following error "File system call made without intialization" Anyone have any ideas??? Edit: I figured out what that problem is, however could someone point me to a tutorial or thread that teaches you how to use mod view to move the tags? CortoCG
You can't use modview to move the tags around, you cannot even modify the mesh. Only the maker of the model can.
Andur_Sunrider
Okie I dunno what to do then cause Im trying everything. It appears that the flash/blade tag goes down to where the parent one is. So I dunno what to do Im about to give up. However does anyone have any ideas on what to do?
CortoCG
I'm sorry, are you modelling a saber hilt?
Andur_Sunrider
Im modeling a few things. However that hilt is what Im talking about. It appears that when I do a compile the tag_flash or tag_blade1 goes to the exact place the tag_parent is. I have no idea how to stop this from happening either. CortoCG
The tags are where the models attach to. So, the tags are going to snap. Fix the tag orientation for the blade, and see if that fixes your problem. Do as Psyk0 says.
Scythe01
Or are the tags on top of each other when viewing the model or in game only?
