swphreak
How do some of you guys keep your action figures standing? Some of the figs I got just have horrible balance, and I'm trying to find something sticky to use. I'm testing to see how stickytack works (the stuff that's sticky and doesn't hurt paint, ect). Is there something that would help me keep them standing? I'm not likely to be buying special stands and whatnot to put the figs in.
daring dueler
i use action figure stands.
swphreak
Yeah, but I'm not gonna waste my money buying them.
Katarn07
Depends on who it is. Battle Droids are impossible to get standing even with stands so don't fret if that's what it is. Just fool around with it for a while; I'm sure you'll get it. Most of mine don't have stands and have been standing for years now. If you can't get that down, how about some clay? It doesn't ruin the figure or the surface they're on. Just a small amount for each foot and they should stand. I have done that with a Super Battle Droid, a few basic Battle Droids, and my Acklay. daring dueler
untrue about droids katarn. My droids all stand fine on stands(omit boomer damage) but yes clay...not playdo! it stains.
Katarn07
I gave up on Boomer Damage a while back. He's on the ground with Tarpals zapping him with his tazer stick. The Battle Droids' legs bend and when they split apart, they're double hard to get standing in a decent pose and keep them there. Their legs are so weak, they bend and they just tip over eventually. I'll probably put them in some boiling hot water and rebend them all back into shape.
daring dueler
well, mine all stoof fine.......i dunno...what kinda stands u use?
Katarn07
The round, shiny black ones from Brian. It doesn't matter if they're on a stand, their legs just start to bend and then they just lean over. The TPM and PotJ Security ones don't do it, just the AotC and PotJ Boomer Damage ones do. They cheapened up the plastic and they just bend over time. daring dueler
my stands have 2 pegs ( i have 50 brian black ones) i mainly use the ones form the fanclub. they seem to keep my droids fine.
Katarn07
Mine only have one peg. That must be the problem

daring dueler
i got some out with a dentist pick i use for customs...but my kez iban from droids still has one in his foot.
Katarn07
That vintage or Star Tours you're referring to? Dentist pick is the best you can really go so if you can't get it out with that, I guess it's in there for good.
daring dueler
there is no keziban in star tours...yes vintage. yeah, i cant quite get his out without damaging him.
Katarn07
Hrm, hot water would do the trick in getting it out without wrecking him but I don't know if a vintage guy can withstand the heat without damage. I wouldn't try it.
ZBomber
I just kinda lean them against something since all my places where I put them have a back of some kind.
daring dueler
his plastic is harder, dont wanna risk it...ill have to leave it in...
dark jedi 8
i use the clear stands w/2 pegs. they work fine except for the battle droids (boomer damage). but my AOTC droids stand find, no bending.
daring dueler
yup, same with me darkjedi, t peg stands, plus others, but all my droids minus boomer damage are fine.
Katarn07
Where did you guys get those? I got mine from Brian and they're glossy black with only one peg. I need two I guess for my AotC droids.
daring dueler
i got a few clear ones from brians (one peg) , some black one peg, but i got the two pegs at the star wars fan club store, its a little more expensive, but its like 20 in a bag, forgot the price, but its worth it. Katarn07
The thing with 2 pegs is that not all of the figures have the same stance. How can all figures fit on the two pegs? Do the red battle droids from the Clone Wars 3 packs fit? How about the Saga AotC White/ Red one? Those are my main problems....
daring dueler
they all fit for me, most figures legs fit good....umm some of mine use one peg on thje tow peggers, but battle droids can use both if put correctly....btw no their legs arnt stretched apart to fit. dark jedi 8
same here, most of them fit fine with minimal adjustment. but i really like those long stands that come with the TRU packs. (imperial forces, bounty hunters) they allow for more movement with some figures. and i'm pretty sure i either got the stands from the fan club store or cloudcity. can't remember.
