limitation of the map ?

I watched all the trailers carefully and read most of the previews -however, I didn't catch what kind of limitation Pandemic is going to

use in SWBF.

 

Will it be like in Battlefield 1942 (Leaving battlefield means losing

health) or will the players be jailed with map-specific things like

tall trees, mountains and so on .. or will Pandemic use some new

sort of limitating their maps ?

 

Would be nice to know - I'd prefer the BF1942-method.

they should have a voice or text message saying "you are straying from your objective" or something and if you keep going out you get mauled into the ground by enemy aircraft fire. that way it keeps the illusion of free roaming and gives you a cool interactive battle death.

I believe the maps are big enough so that the potential to wander off is no easy task. From what i've seen, the maps are about as huge as the 1942/vietnam maps. I am wondering, though for modding purposes, how large a map could be and depending on how large, how many goodies you can add such as bases, spawn points, vehicles, etc.

 

I want to use some bf 1942 maps as inspiration for a few maps i have in mind for battlefront.

from some screenies you could see, mountains! copying the desertor thing would put too many emphasis on battlefront beeing "inspired" by bf1942

Episode 3, man. while off topic. I'm gonna see it at midnight on first day. I am dorky enough to dress up in a costume, though. No offense to you costume wearers.

 

EDIT- For me, its actually 300 days until about 2 hours.

 

I hope the limit is like, mountains or something, cause thatd suck to lose tickets just because u wander astray and die because of it.
