yaebginn
exactly, dtsg, but thats the exact reason I am unattracted. because I know, everytime I look at her, 10,000 geeks are like, 'oh, man shes so hot, I want marry her and go in a spaceship' or like, 'oh, I wish I was anakin if you know what I mean' its annoying. but shes a good actress and her new movie looks good, it has the guy fom scrubs. thanx for the reminder, ET, I'll go edit it now, preciate it. Dr Edison 007
I feel sorry for her being associated with those films. Just like Carrie Fisher, she'll probably never be known that well for anything else.
Doomie
Do YOU know her for anything else? Enlighten us with your great knowledge of Carrie Fisher, master... Ah well, that's yer fate if ya paly in starwars. Most people think of sir Alec Guinness as Ben Kenobi, while i heard he had a better role in 'bridge over the river kwai'. I can't judge that however, i only saw the end...
yaebginn
Carrie Fisher was in Jay and Silent Bob strikes back, Blues Brothers, thats all I can think of. Natalie Portman was in...Where the Heart is, Mars Attacks, Garden State, and one other, but I forget it. and yeah, star wras is a big deal. most actors who were in it are known for that. Besides Harrision Ford. especially in the OT, oh and Samuel L. Jackson. He's big too. but think about it. Star Wars is a huge thing, its not bad to be thought of as that. Same with most guys form Lord of the Rings.

Mike Windu
Perhaps it would be better to provide a link, as that is ridiculously long when not sized down to miniscule print.
DieStarWarsGeek
Jesus that's long.. Leon(the Professional) was what I first remember portman from, that was an awesome movie, a lot of her 90's movies were good. She's still pretty young, I don't think she'll be that tied down to the trilogy.
Darth Groovy
I don't personally feel that any of the actors from Episode 1-3 will be type cast. Most of them had good street credibility from the get go. Samuel L. Jackson? Hell, I see any movie if he is in it. He is one of my favorite actors. His resume speaks for itself! Ewan McGregor? Just another gig for him. Anybody see Moulin Rogue or Big Fish? This stuff is above him.....trust me! Natalie Portman? She has expressed to members of Star Wars Insider that she has considered leaving acting for a real career. Wether she does that or not remains to be seen, but one thing that is obvious, she IS in control of her life, she is a good actress, and WILL be known for other things later in life. I'm afraid this set of movies is different from the first trilogy. Even if Episode 3 bombs at the box office, all of these actors will shine through it. yaebginn
I agree withyou on Samuel L Jackson. its for two reasons. 1. He was big before the prequels. 2. His part isnt that big. Natalie, I dont agree with. She's been in some stuff, but not anything huge. I mean, Mark Hammil, he wa young when he did star wras, lookit him now. She may do other things, but unless she does another huge thing. but for this generation, she'll be known as the girl in star wars. Ewan, in the middle, He's been in some good stuff besides star wars, such as big fish, and this one scottish movie. He has been in more popular stuff than Natalie Portman, but isnt as big as Samuel L Jackson. So he will definitely be remebered as theguy in star wars, but maybe it wont be the role that defines him, that he will really be remembered by. ET Warrior
Star Wars nerds will remember them as the actors in star wars. Everyone ELSE will remember them by other roles they've done.

yaebginn
true, but not whoelly true. I mean, alot of people, who arent nerds, have seen star wars. but not alot may have seen, Leon (the rpofessional) or where the heart is, or any other of her movies. Even non-dorks.geeks/nerds cant deny that Star Wars is huge. Like LotR, Elijiah Wood (Frodo) may never be known for anything else but his role as frodo. I mean, Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) is trying to be knwon for more, like in Hidalgo. and he is a good actor, but mostly, they will be known for LotR. same with most SW actors, exceot replace LotR with SW for them. ckcsaber
Natalie Portman will not be known as Padme forever. Garden State is a wonderful movie, the best I have seen this year except for maybe Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Her performence in GS is fantastic and very sexy. She'll put this Star Wars thing behind her when it's over.
