They revamped their whole site, has an interactive browser, and a few updates about info! some new screens.. and you can switch through the soundtrack to the game! that's pretty cool...

And i think the rocket launcher droid DID get scrapped, because it looks rediculous and the super battle drodi already has a rocket launcher AND a blaster...

it's a very nice site. With detailed explanation of the vehicles with screenies etc, y-wing etc...nice! (only air vehicles though :\)

If they canned the Assault Droid, then they'll probably remove EVERY SINGLE heavy weapons unit just to make it even.

 

Looks like they got the blaster rifle for the Rebel Soldier in the Units section wrong... he's carrying the Imperial's sniper rifle.

 

And, is it just me, or are they seriously pimping the Empire for this game?

Noticed the Rocket Droid was missing, probably a mistake. Also since when has the TIE Bomber been a Assault Walker? Nice site all the same.

None of the units got scrapped, it says there will be 20 units to choose from (5 from each). I don't know why they only show 4 now. ?

 

the translucent coasters: coasters are those things you put under a drink so your tabletop doesn't get wet. I think they coulda given a cooler little gift but whatever

 

And yeah it's strange they just put air vehicles on the site and non of the ground vehicles. Oh well more to look forward to.

I don't think the Assault Droid would get canned. If it did, there would be no unit to lay mines. And I believe I read somewhere that the SBD's rockets won't be as damaging as a shoulder-carried missile launcher will be.

 

Who knows... maybe the devs are just getting a new pic for the Assault Droid?

That site is too awesome. The flash animations are fantastic though I thought the intro was a bit long.

 

The music is a great addition.

 

I couldn't connect to all the parts of the existing site, so I will say more later.

I believe the Rocket Laucher Droid was just a mistake like the other little thing on the site. I don't belive they would give one faction 4 units while the rest 5. If you check the rebels, they still have the vangaurd.

Maybe they were in a hurry to publish the new site. I hope that's no indication on how the game is gonna be released, lol. Good god I hope no one from SOE is working on the production of this game.

I liked the site. Just not enough information the vehicles, ships, planets, and factions. I was hoping they would of given gameplay videos for Bespin, Rhen Var, Tatoonie, and Kashyyyk. I was hoping to find out whether or not Imperial Shuttle was going to be in it. They do have the cloud city cars.

That had me in fits of laughter! haha. Are you trying to say that SOE havent a clue what they are doing?

 

Lucasarts always do an 'In Development' website first then the official site launches a couple of months before release. I have to say I am VERY excited about Battlefront and im sure that SWBattlefront.net will host tournaments, forum games and much more!
