Where is the Voice Chat

Let me first say the game is fantastic. I love it. Yes the graphics for the PC are not the greatest. First person will disappoint, it reminds me of Aliens Vs Predator or Counter Strike, but thats cool. There is alot of action.

I did multiplayer and there is nothing for voice chat. It said that it would support it. Did they lie or are they merely saying Uh yeah you can play and have Roger Wilco at the same time. If thats the case then I am ticked at that.

"Will there be voice chat for the PC version?

Yes, there will be voice chat for the PC version, as well as the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions. Of course, text chat will also be available in the PC version."

That is a direct quote from the official website FAQ. I spoke with LucasArts technical support and they said BattleFront was not currently supporting voice chat. I feel that PC buyers have been misled. I am sending a complaint to LucasArts and if you wish to do the same here is the email address. He also did not give any indication that there would be an update to integrate it.

PS My microphone works fine. There is no command for voice chat and it is just not there.

Yea ....... sad but true, this game seems its made for consoles ans just transferred into PC, just look at the voice commands ..... yeah there are none except the four ones on consoles and they are set as F1 - F4 ....... Come on! Also the PC version seems to have the same blurry effect as the consoles ( Im playing on medium detail ). No MTT or MAF and now this? Can I say .... Thank you Lucas Arts again!

Here is my soapbox. We need to send a message to LucasArts that this is false advertising. Im sorry but I dont think that any of us deserve to be treated like this. The likelihood is that they figure that we would not notice or care.

How can you release a product advertising that it comes with a feature knowing full well that it doesnt? I am seriously considering reporting them for false advertising.

I can get voice chat software easily through Roger Wilco and TeamSpeak. Its the principle, not the product that I am upset about.

We are aware that people are currently experiencing issues when trying to find games to join. If you are looking for a game to join and do not see a viable server, hit the refresh button and you should see a different list. This may also be affecting voice chat, incorrect display of ping times, and in some rare instances, general performance.

Please know that we are committed to Star Wars Battlefront and will continually monitor every aspect of this game so that we may provide the best possible game experience for everyone, on all platforms.

Um no Ital, the VoIP in that post is talking about the XBox version for Voice chat, it's the only version with VoIP. Check your manual, there is no VoIP for the PC.

You are absolutly right It, and you are wrong. That post does say that however, there IS no voice chat built in. It was removed sometime before release (probably about the same time as the spy and imp officer). I have the game, I spent the past 2 days trying to figure out everything you can do with it online (which BTW isn't much), and VoIP is not one of the things you can do in it (I've even tried verifying it on LAN just incase it was an always on, you can't control it thing). Remember they also said in interviews and the like there would be Punkbuster built in at release, and lo-and-behold there is none. ALOT of the things listed both there and in interviews have been found erroneous and wrong. If you know how to use the VoIP though on the PC by all means share it because I don't know of one person yet who has used it, or figured out how to.
