Dr_night
I'm fairly neutral on the subject of jedi. I don't see a problem with them, but I think battlefront is not a game for them. I don't know what sort of editing tools are being released, but rest assured, if there is any way possible, there will eventually be a hoarde of jedi mods for battlefront. I think I'm just going to try the Xbox instead, thank you very much.
Cosmos Jack
Very good point. I don't want or have an XBox. I do have a PC and if it gets to bad the game in SP isn't all that bad. I'm sure given time all the dorks that ruined JKA will do the same to BF.

Cosmos Jack
Originally posted by pat_thetic Um, don't download them? Well yeah, but if you want to play online and 99% of the servers use them. Then you don't have much choice.
pat_thetic
Not true, people still play vanilla bf42 all the time. There is not going to be some mini mod that everyone plays.
JawaJoey
No matter how many "j3di-0-r4ma" mods are released, there will always be plenty of people who will make and play servers that don't use those mods. I'm sure most people will download mods, but many of them will still agree that Jedi don't belong in this game.
JDKnite188
Don't jump the gun now. Remember that the infrastructure of the game doesn's support Jedi players as of yet; this means that modders will have to code everything that a jedi player could do: lightsaber usage, force powers, an additional class of selection. Not easy. Considering that the game is for grunts, I would imagine that most modders would bother with the hassle. If you are talking about some sort of hero expansion, I don't know what the problem could be. We might just have to wait and see.
Cosmos Jack
Well just wait and see where this game is in 6 months.
Hiroki
Eh, I wouldn't mind a Jedi mod just for kicks, as long as there are still good ol' pure BF servers around.
Alegis
i'm pretty sure most people don't want jedi mods, some are angered already, but, and you may quote me on this, not even a little bit afraid the thing for JA might happen to battlefront. There is no saberdown here and never will there are leagues already out there. Do you think that all those clanservers will have jedimods etc? Hiroki
I would like to keep any Jedi mod that is made off of MP myself, as it could potentially ruin the game. In fact, it probably would. I don't really care if they make SP Jedi Mods, as it is completely the choice of each and every individual, but Jedi would seriously take away the little bit of canoninity the battles have. Quint
Well, BF42 has a thousand mods going for it right now. ...but guess what? Plain old, Vanilla, run of the mill, all original, BF42 is still the most played version of BF42!!! Sure, many mods have alot of servers running them... ...but BF42 still has the most number of servers & players, etc. THE original, and still the best. ~Q~
dead_ox
Seriously, I dont even have the game yet, and even i know that if u dont like mods DON'T PLAY 'EM!!! Besides, think of the kewl mods other than jedi that'll come out! Even more vehicles, new maps, etc!

That's not how it works. If a mod is server-side (such as JO/A admin mods), then you have no choice. If a mod is popular (like JO/A admin mods) and most all servers use it, then you can't not play the mod.
=HR=Meltdown
For additional classes such as the jedi, and force powers, it wuold require a downloaded mod, not a server side only patch. Games like BF:V and SW:BF can't push the mods because they are generally far to big (most BF:42 and BF:V mods are 600+ megs). So yes you will have to DL them to play.
