That is, assuming this isn't something that was changed in the 2004 editions... ; ) The training remote that shot light blasts at Luke in ANH also fired yellow bolts.
TK-8252 Posted October 23, 2004 Author Posted October 23, 2004 Here's a paragraph from the official Star Wars Databank: http://www.starwars.com/databank/technology/bowcaster/?id=eu Wookiees view their bowcasters as highly personal possessions. The weapons are bestowed upon young Wookiees as they complete traditional rites of passage into adulthood. Wookiees commonly decorate their bowcasters with clan markings, pictographs, and other engravings celebrating their greatest accomplishments.
Kurgan Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 And now, Chewbacca ( ), for the GBA (Galactic Blaster Association)! GRAWWRL, RAAAAWWGG RAWG RAWG ROOOOAARRR!!!! *Threepio ( ) translating* He says "You can have my crossbow when you pry it from my cold, dead, paws."
RedHawke Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 ^^^^ Bwahahahaha!!! Now that's comedy! I never liked the term Wookiee Bowcaster, I always referred to it as a Wookiee Blaster Crossbow, yes it had two bow-like things near the front, but there was no string or cable on the bow, and it fired blaster bolts after all so it never really fit the term Bowcaster to me... oh well.
Prime Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Trying to search for logical reasons for Star Wars technology is only going to give you a headache...
