Viceroy, it's a friggin mod. Mandalorians look cool in their armor. Don't diss anyone's personnal mod. Don't want it, shut up and don't whine.

 

Yet so many proof that EU would not make it in a game...a fan that took a "less interesting" but that everyone knows about civ over one that only some have.

I didn't say it was a bad idea I just said it would be difficult to balance.

If he wants to make stormtroopers with small weapons of mass destrustion, he can, it's a mod. Can't you understand a mod doesn't have to be balanced?

I know it isn't nessacery to have balance but it's usually preferred.

The fact that every other mod I've played has attempted to balance what it's adding with what's already there.

You haven't played a lot of mods have you?

 

When they add one civ like that(probably not even available to multiplayer) it doesn't have to be balanced.

 

Forgotten Hope(BF1942) doesn't need real balancing. Due to the wish of the community to have a very realistic WWII experience, they have to make sacrifices in balancing. Some maps are totally unbalanced but playing on the disadvantaged side is in fact, really fun.

I will be honest most of the Mods I've played add in a side for multiplayer or are TC's so they have to be balanced.

Mods are made for several reasons, the main reason is to put something in the game that isn't there (duh. call me mister obvious). Mandalorians (in this case) are a fan favorite because B.F. is (was) so mysterious. As LIAYD said, his armor is cool. I thought that it would be great to be able to have a troop center that made Mandalorian troops simply because they looked cool. I could care less about their stats, give them the stats of whatever civ I was playing as.

 

Viceroy, you play GB as one true to Star Wars, not everyone plays that way. Have you ever played Rebellion? It had a great editor that somebody created that allowed you to changed everything in it. I made myself into many characters, Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Moffs, etc. The majority of the mods for that I found created super characters and super capitol ships. Why? Because you could.

 

The best selling point to a game is these days is the ability to make it your own and different every time you play it. The easier it is to do this the better. The more unique each game experience is the better. That's the game I want.

 

Of course this won't happen because then I won't need to buy another game and the game companies won't make any money, so they will continue to make static games so that I have to keep buying different games to be able to get a different game play each time I play.

You must follow the Truth in a Star Wars game a mod that could say change GB into world war 2 would be blasphemy.

He is making another Indiana Jones after ROTS. Actually he has begun some work on it, stopped, rewritten the script and is going to finish the work latter. Or something like that.
