I like both pieces of art, but the first one is really cool... wish I was still programming, I'd love to team up with an art guy and make a fan game. Oh, wait Lucasarts doesn't want that. Oh well.

The island is quite nice. You might want to work on your perspective a little as it seems a little off right now.

The Island's good, I like the smoke coming out of the volcano.

I like the pirate better than the island.

 

The isle lacks detail. If the hills are meant to be wooded, you should see some of it. Also: the perspective.

 

I hope you'll be able to maintain the level of detail on the character in the game.

The walking guy's good, but for some reason, it doesn't seem like the characters would fit in with the background, if you're going for that level of detail with the characters, you need to got for that level of detail with the backgrounds.

 

Oh, and perspective.
