Over hyped more than Madonna in Playboy. The first Half Life, to me, was less than mediocre at best. Same with CS. Neither of these games did anything for me whatsoever. I would say I'd pick it up in the bargain bin sometime, but I think 10-15 dollars for these games is still asking too much. I understand you are jokeing somewhat... But don't you think that's kinda harsh? They were very innovative with the original Half-Life, and I know the futuristic over the top shooters aren't your cup-o-tea. And I know you like the military based games, but for that type of qenre, I think over hype for Half-Life 2, Is a severe under hype. Considering what the first did for the community. Something that adds and in many ways out does an already classic game... What bad can you possibly say?

 

And yes I am a fan-boy (I guess I am, never been one so I wouldn't know :-/ ). But that is because Valve did what needed to be done to FPS's.

 

I don't care what a review says, Half-Life 2 shall be mine...
