Aleggy Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 i have to admit the line 'I'm from Germany and we have a proud history of censorship' was odd i mean i'm from England and we sensor everything and it totaly annoys the English public and to my knowledge the only thing i am aware of the germans censoring was ww1 and 2 games by taking out all references to nazis which i think must have been odd i mean who did they think the spitfires were shooting down, although i have heard thats now stopped in fact any film that took the mick out of the germans/nazis germany would ban again that has now been stopped as germany now officially have a sense of humour but to me that doesn't sound like s censorship more like propaganda and dictatorship but thats just me

FiEND_138 Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Yeah, the remastered effects are great. Except for Vaders pink saber. I find that a real sticking point. In fact both sabers in the RotJ end fight just seem off. They look.... smeared. It's especially apparent when the fight starts, when luke goes after Sidious & Vader blocks the swing. That part looks terrible with the two sabers bleeding together. Someone over at LFL/ILM needs to seriously get their eyes checked. Thats really my only complaints about the DVD's. O, & Lukes color changing saber.

I suppose it would be easier, for those who haven't been viewing each episode as part of a 6 chapter story (not you personally Shok_Tinoktin). Mostly the "It's not teh OT redone exactly with a new cast in 1999!!!!" or "George Lucas is raping my childhood!!!!oneoneeleven!!" or "Teh actings all stiff.....how dare you say it was in teh OT too!!!" groups that seem to have the hardest time seeing saga, not distinctions in OT/PT. In my experience anyway.

MdKnightR Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I voted for the Special Edition VHS trilogy because I have yet to see the DVD trilogy. It is probably better. I just know that the Trilogy Special Edition is so much more enjoyable than the original versions because of all of the special effect updates.
