StoneDragon
The battle for middle earth. Anyone know that up-coming game? For more information go to this link: http://www.rpgplanet.com/memw/ Its an RTS so it'll be probably foreign to you since KOTOR:TSL is an RPG. stingerhs
^^^^ well, the concept of an rts isn't foreign to me. i've had the chance to play several rts's ranging from the c&c series to starcraft (my personal favorite at the moment). lotr: bfme is a game that i'm looking forwards to, along with: half-life 2 kotor: tsl roller coaster tycoon 3 and to a lesser extent: halo 2 trust me: i play much more than rpg's. RedHawke
That looks interesting. IMHO Total Annihilation is the Best RTS ever made (Got Artillery!), even compared to the legendary Starcraft. Starcraft is an excellent RTS in its own right, though the Siege Tank is inefficient as Artillery... Some of the Human and Protoss and all of the Zerg units do make up for it though, if only through their comments, or the ever effective Zergling Rush. I still have both of them on my HDD's, and I still play them. Like stingerhs I also play much more than RPG's.

I have yet to see an RTS that can match Total Annihilation pound for pound, let alone the lords of the battlefield the Vulcan / Buzzsaw, or the Big Bertha's / Intimidator's, I so do love long-range artillery. I would just love to see a game company, that has the rights, spruce up the game a little and stabalize its engine for Win XP/2K and re-release it. Oh well! Joins stingerhs in *Cursing the Xbox!*

RedHawke
^^^^ IMHO Warcraft III is a good game, it just suffers from trying to be several things at once, it is a more jack-of-all trades game than a pure RTS. Blizzard tried to add RPG elements into a RTS game, they did a bang-up job too, so don't get me wrong, but because of this, it lost some of the coolest aspects of a "pure" RTS. The Hero units, the Items, and the low unit/food limit are the parts that I am referring to.

SentinelRivers
I'm not really a fan of any of the LOTR games. The only RTS's that get my attention are the more strategical/battle orientated ones. All this resource gathering is just too complicated Which is why I currently have an obsession with Rome Total War.
