Umm. Thank you, but that doesn't really help with my situation. That is unless I wanna buy a Mac and the compatible game I guess. :xp:

And it didn't work on Win 95 compatability mode. Any more suggestions guys?

Thanks.

Oh yeah. Another weird thing it does on XP is it won't keep the lap records. Meaning that every time a record is made it will be the current record until the game is turned off. When it's started up again, there are no records. :confused:

Pay no attention to Astrotoy7,

Podracer is NOT a bad game. It's difficult to get the control of the pod down, but once you do, it's a rush. I have it for PC, it runs fine on both my laptop AND my desktop system, and Use XP PRO on both. Maybe the problem is with XP. Are you using the XP Home edition?

Also note, my disk is a copy, dunno if that has anything to do with it!

Oooooooh, shouldn't have said that.....

Oh Astro. If only you were paying attention then you would know that I am not the one really playing it. I'm trying to remedy the prob for my little bros. Though I do still enjoy the hell out of it when I do play. Ahhhh.

And Grooves, I guess it could be a prob with XP. Yes it is the home edition. My dad's got a laptop with the Office vers. so maybe I should check it on there (though his compy kind of sucks) And I have the original copy as well as a burned one, so that when it's working my little bros can each play on a system. I think I'll try uninstalling and then reinstall and see what trouble I can 'cuase that way. But ya never know, it just might work.

Thanks guys.

ah, seriously, if you have access to a ps2 try racer revenge, its great fun, the aim is not only to race but to take out the other racers :D and you get to race as post pubescent ep2 anakin :D

have fun ! while you're at it, play "the Phantom Menace", "Gungan Frontier", and "Battle of Naboo" amd "Obi Wan".... the quantity and depth of crap episode 1 era titles is amazing :p

Podracer = awesome. :D

I do remember having these sort of screwy problems with it, though. My advice is, if all else fails, delete everything and play through all the tourneys. I recall that's what worked for me.

Oh, and Astro, you're being too harsh. :D The Phantom Menace is good if you ignore the existence of the Gungan jumping puzzle level. And Battle for Naboo has its redeeming qualities :xp: (Okay, mostly limited to the cool craft designs, but still!)

I used to own Podracer... don't know what ended up happening to it... I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you. I never had problems with it... then again, I played it when we had Windows 98, not XP... I think so anyways:confused: I'm gonna leave before I confuse myself to the extremes!:p

Well, I tried completely uninstalling it. When I reinstalled it wouldn't run at all. I would click on Play the screen would go black, flash back to my desktop, go black again with the blue loading bar, then go back to the desktop, and do nothing. :confused:

So, I've got no idea what the problem is. I'm gonna keep messing with it though and see what I can do. :)
