Acrylic
Okay, paintball people! I have some important questions for ya'll. My dad is buying a paintball gun for me. (Well, theres a reason for it, but I have no need to tell ya'll our dillema.) Anyways, my dad at first wanted to buy a stun-gun, but I insisted that a paintball gun would be alot better. Anyways people, my questions are... What are some good paintball guns in the $100-$150 range? and What is some essential equipment I should get? If there is also more info that you can give me, I'd be appreciated, but I'd like to know some of the basics. Thank ya'll for your time!

Acrylic
I heard that the Tippman 98 is a really good gun, but it seems everyone has it. If anything, I'll get it, but I want a few more options.
KBell
If this is for self-defence, there are better methods.

We wanna get even with someone who took something that was rightfully ours. But I also want something that can be used again, and this would be fun. Acrylic
Oh well. Its only for fun also. So, anyone else have any suggestions for paintball guns and equipment?
--ZeeMan--
both the spyder and tippman beginner pacts run about 150-175 dollars and both will be more than you need to start off with. personally i have the spyder because i liked the way it looked as compared to the black tippman. but at that price range, there really isn't much to compare about the two, they'll both do the right job. with the pacts, you get the gun, barrel cleaner, mask, and a co2 cannister. what you'll need to buy that both pacts don't have is a hopper (holds the paintballs) and the paintballs themselves. but i'd suggest holding out a few weeks and watching the specials that come out, cus sometimes they drop the price below 150 and then it's a steal. ckcsaber
I've got a Tippman custom. They tell me it's a good gun for anyone, so I'd suggest it. It's got some power, and is fairly accurate.
jebbers
It is an expensive hobby. One of my good friends can't buy a house for a good number of years because his credit is teh suck should have made wiser choices...but it is kinda pricey, depending on what kind a of balls and gear you get...personally i like to hit the small sports stores that deal in second hand equipment for air and tanks, hopper, masks, and get gloves because finger shots hurt and they can swell up to look like Jimmy Dean smoked sausages... personally i like spyders best because they are light, easy to clean, easy to use and just plain cool... if you wimp out playing you can buy lots of protective gear ranging from knee to elbow pads, neck guards, full helmet mask, crotch guards, chest and back pads...i dont wear any of these but a mask that covers my eyes, nose, and mouth... anything else you need to know ask me and i shall answer... ~jebbers
Troopr-Undr-Fir
Originally posted by jebbers should have made wiser choices...but it is kinda pricey Well it wasn't just paintball, but I know that was a big chunk of it... Why don't people learn to listen? i dont wear any of these but a mask that covers my eyes, nose, and mouth... silly jebbers... You don't need a face "It does what it's told!" I've been paintballing a few times, not too much fun I have to say. It is usually either a bunch of teenagers that just like to talk a bunch of **** and then cuss you out because you shot them, or a bunch of older more obese men that pretend to be in combat and try to *shudder* roll and summersault across the playing field and hurt themselves It is pretty fun when my other friends just block the entrance to the castle playing field and we play 5 on 5. Other than that, it doesn't seem worth the money
