elTee
Yeah I thought that which is why I didn't reply sooner. I just figured I'd join the trend, but if I had to pick the ones from my list that I've heard and loved a really substantial amount of their output, they'd be (again, no order); Metallica King Crimson Black Sabbath Van Der Graaf Generator Jethro Tull The Doors Jefferson Airplane Led Zeppelin Terrorvision The Eagles Iron Butterfly Pink Floyd / Syd Barrett The Clash The Sex Pistols Manic Street Preachers
Orbyss
How come everybody is putting like a thousand bands on their list? I can only list a handful that amaze me. Same here. But I guess it would be a monster list if I named all the bands I have songs by. I just picked out the "top musicians" on my playlist.

JofaGuht
Fender, you reminded me of Evergrey. I have the most recent CD, and I really dig them. Also probably has the best vocalist in metal, next to Mikael Akerfeldt...and Serj Tankian, if you consider SOAD metal, which I don't. As for Children of Bodom, I honestly think they are very overrated. I prefer construction-based stuff as opposed to intracacy-based stuff (same reason I think Dimmu Borgir kicks Cradle of Filth's ass, and why Wakeman beats up Emerson in my mindset) But I'm not too big into power metal, so don't listen to me. Although Bodom was in of the best concert line-ups I've seen: Hypocracy, Bodom, Nevermore, and Dimmu Borgir. I thought those where great choices that really fit. Although there was also this show with Crossbreed, Godhead, and Rammstein that made an awesome line-up. As for worst line-ups ever: Neurosis and Pantera. All the redneck Pantera fans booed off Neurosis. What were those tour managers thinking?

Skinkie
It's about time someone metioned Rainbow. Dio was awesome when he was in Sabbath. Heaven and Hell is like one of the greatest albums ever.
Necroman
Yeah, Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules, the only Sabbath-Dio albums I have. I gotta get any other solo Dio album or Dehumanizer. Right now I'm listening to King Diamond - Conspiracy 1989. The only King Diamond albums I got are: 1987 - Abigail 1989 - Conspiracy 1990 - The Eye 1996 - The Graveyard I'm searching for the Mercyful Fate albums, especially 1996 - Into The Unknown (It has an interesting song called "Kutulu"). elTee
Heaven & Hell is one of my favourites too, Sabbath wise. There's a "best of" Mercyful Fate CD I want to get, cos Metallica covered three of their songs on Garage Inc. They actually combined them into a single track, which was just called Mercyful Fate, but it has Corpse Without Soul, Curse of the Pharaohs and Satans Fall in there in one form or another. It's fantastic, so I really want to hear more of their stuff, as well as the original versions of the three I just mentioned.

JofaGuht
I know there is all these subcatagories and stuff, but I look at "techno" as the broad term, though a lot of people say techno is a subcatagory of "Electronica" or something like that. I'm just talking about the catagory that techno goes into, whatever you wish to call it. I wish to call it "Techno". I disagree with it being industrial. I see Rammstein, Lacuna Coil, Type-o Negative (yuk!), Nine Inch Nails, etc. being Industrial. I see VAC as just hardcore...um ...techno.
