Mandalorian54 Posted February 4, 2005 Author Share Posted February 4, 2005 Lyria had called Raul's name several times and now she stood beside him waving her hand in front of his eyes before he finally noticed, "Raul, get in the shuttle, come on let's go." Then she lead him to their shuttle and they strapped in. Thousands of Drop ships began to leave descend towards Thaldoria from several battleships. They broke through the planets atmosphere like a meteor shower and headed for nearby Thaldorian bases. Along with over a million infantry there were also thousands of tanks and heavily armored vehicles, it was an army preparing for a massive assult. "aright, we will break into two groups, Zeth you take those three and i'll take these three, this is it boys, all weve been training for about to be tested." "now remember, take out as many high ranking officers as possible, do not focus on normal soldiers, only officers and higher ranks, alright lets move" Valis took his three members and circled around the ridge, he saw a some patrols outside along with some tents. "well it seems they either are still having resistance inside or they too many soldiers, lets hope its the first one, now sparks, move to snipe position, and wait for my signal, then rejoin with us by the wall." "yes sir." sparks took out his sniper rifle and set up, while Valis took the other two and snuk as close to the wall as possible, they ducked behind a outjut, Valis gave the signal as a patrol came by, 3 rapid shots came and Valis heard three bodies drop, Valis came out and grabbed the bodies then hid them, while sparks joined them. "alright, climbing geard out." Valis took out gloves and boot atatchments and put them on, he started climbing up the wall with the other three. they got to the other side to see it was relitivly unpopulated, Valis dropped and took out three vuanna with his knife and broke two others necks, while sparks took out 2 with his knife and the other two tok out 2 more each, they had a straight shot to a widnow that had been blown open.... "Pay attention kid, or you're gonna get us all killed. What the hell are you doing here anyway? You don't look old enough to shave let alone fight." "And you don't look young enough to run without breaking your back. " "Tell you what. "We could rush out and kill them... but are we don't want to risk being on the wrong foot." Craze put his weapon down and got up. One of the officers told a scout," Doesn't he remember he got his a$$ shot doing this last time" Craze stoped when he suddenly remembered O s***t I got shot doign this last time It was too late, someone saw him. He ducked and went along a wall that was near side of the building the other soldiers were at. He motioned to the others to follow him as he ran to the side of the building. Zeth looked around the building's side and saw a ventilation shaft. Zeth pointed upwards so that the other soldiers can see. "wheels, your up" Valis said and pointed to the door, wheels went to the door and unlocked it, the hallway was also empty but they could hear voices up ahead. Mandalorian54 Posted February 10, 2005 Author Share Posted February 10, 2005 The re-enforcement army divided it's numbers across several Thaldorian bases to re-enforce the lines. The enemy was gathering a foothold in three main bases that they had taken over, they now begun sending supplies from their fleet to the planet surface in preparation for invasion. Something needed to be done. The Mandalorian Commanders were hard at work thinking up a strategic assult, in the mean time the elete soldiers had been sent in to do what they could. All that was left for the soldiers to do was wait. Lyria and her men arrived at the Thaldorian base, it was quite small compared to the bases back on Mandalore but big enough to house all the soldiers. Massive thick walls rose from the ground and shielded the perimeter of the base, canon barrels protruded from openings all around. That night Lyria sat by one of the cannons and starred out at the stars. She was thinking about home, she had no intention of running away from the fighting and the war, she was there to fight like the rest of them. War wasn't something she'd experienced before though or was eager to. It was a difficult thing for her to grasp, their peaceful world at war. It was a terrible thing they had hoped would never come. Valis told them to get cover, just as they did, 2 vuanna came around the corner, as soon as they passed Valis and wheels came behind them and broke their necks. He quietly opened the gate and went into the room. He waited for his group to all exit the ventilation shaft and closed it back up. Zeth took out a cable that had a small camera attached to it and slid it underneath the door. This gave him an image of what is on the other side. Seeing that the coast is clear, Zeth opened the door. When Zeth exited the room, he heard footsteps, so he leaned against the wall. When the two Vuanas passed by, Zeth quickly and quietly approached both Vuanas and snapped their necks simultaneously. He motioned for his crew to put the bodies in the room they were in. Indoors he had been training Raul but when he saw her go outside he had ordered a short rest and gone out to watch her. Outside it could be dangerous, the Vuana could be scouting out, and he didn't want to have to report her killed by a sniper because he wasn't there. Curt-Man Posted February 14, 2005 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Valis and his group had been sneaking around hallways and rooms for 5 minutes without confrontation, but then they heard a muffled noise, they followed it to a door, Valis took out his mini camera and stuck it under the door to see one of the bases mess halls filled with vuanna. Craze moved his men foward, He heard rustling in the foliage. The men Turned and were knocked down, Vuanna Jumped out and killed the officers. Each trooper surounded the Vuanna and fired at once. Their blasts killed both the creatures and left them with no officers. Craze looked down at the decaying carcasses of the Vuanna on top of their Officers. "Damn, scouts. There will be more of them here soon. " Craze moved in toward the building. There was a severe lack of options for entrance... He thought that there must be another entrance found by the ships who crashed here. He walked around and found a blasted hole in the wall. Curt-Man Posted February 23, 2005 Share Posted February 23, 2005 Valis and his squad were now in business, really testing what they got. for they were now in a more populated part of the base, they had to constantly sneak out of view and be extremely stealthy. they entered a room and took out the vuanna in there. "alright, Chips, set up here, sparks, door duty, the rest of you, get some rest we will be for a while." the member nicknamed chips started setting up computer equipment while sparks sealed the door. while the rest of the squad, which was jsut Valis and Wheels sat down and reloaded and re-adjusted thier guns. "Hey, we're all in this war and it's by no choice of ours. It's these aliens that have invaded our system and shouldn't just try and avoid the war. What? We're going to sit back and relax back on our homeworld and let other people do the fighting while we take the benefits. That is not the Mandalorian way. Only a coward would do that." It was a closet but it was a good place to make a plan. Zeth spoke in a whisper, making sure no one outside could hear. "We have to locate a security room and find out where those captives are. That will not only point us in the right direction but will shorten our time of getting them." All of his men nodded in agreement. "It will also be a good idea not to travel thru main hallways. Mandalorian54 Posted March 11, 2005 Author Share Posted March 11, 2005 Just outside of Thaldoria's orbit the battle raged on, the invaders showed no signs of letting up but held their ground. Laser's constantly bombarded across the open gap in between fleets as battleships laid seige to each other. A large wave of cargo ships left the Vuanna fleet and headed for Thaldoria to suply the troops down there with heavy firepower to begin an assult on the nearby Mandalorian bases. Likewise on Thaldoria, in the captured bases, the Vuanna assembled their armies in anticipation of the arrival of their artilary and tanks with which they would begin the assult. There's talk that we might see some combat soon. The Vuanna have been sending supplies and we expect them to attack shortly." Lyria thanked the other squad leader and hurried over to the barracks where most of her men were. "Okay guy's listen up." She waited until everyone was paying attention. "The Vuanna have been getting supplies and may attack soon so just make sure your ready for combat on short notice." There some acknowledgements among the small crowd before she continued. "Not everyone is here so be sure to pass on the word." Making her way to her own bunk Lyria grabbed her gun and double checked that it was loaded, even though she knew it was. She had also taken off some of her Mandalorian armor and that she put on now. Lyria lay down on her bunk with her helmet and gun beside her where she tried to get some rest. Find out what their up to as quickly as possible and report, -over and out." Meanwhile the Vuanna were unloading weapons, vehicles, and supplies from the cargo ships that had just landed. It was fuel for the upcoming fight. To make matters worse the Vuanna had begun drilling through the blast doors of the bunkers that the survivors were hiding in. Curt-Man Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 Valis didn't even bother responding he just headed to the cargo bay, where the most activity was likely to be. once near there, he crawled through a vent that lead to the cargo bay, he reached the end of the vent, it was high above the cargo bay, he looked down. there was tones of vuanna down there, they were loading supplies it looked like.
